First season was great. This season is ok so far. The 3 witch sisters are so hokey though.

I like it. I'm just about to watch ep. 202 actually. It's certainly not the best thing on TV right now; it can be campy and the writing can be annoyingly overwrought (John Logan's gets a bit carried away with it all at tmes, I think) BUT Eva Green and Timothy Dalton are AMAZING in it and I like the genre and the era its set in and, most of all, the atmosphere of the show... so I watch it.

I've seen the first 5 episodes. It's good certainly. If I have one complaint, it's that when crazy shit happens there's often little follow up.
Eva Green Character: "Just got possessed by same crazy demon imitating your dead son, any questions?" Timothy Dalton: "Nope" Hunky American: "Sorry, wasn't paying attention that scene"
But, good performances and atmosphere. I like the Frankenstein stuff most of all. And please, more seances.

I saw first few eps of season 1 and while back and I plan to revisit it soon. I hope Dorian Grey dies OMG he annoyed me so much in the eps I watched.

Season 2 took a really dark turn last night. Listen to the Sky Atlantic voiceover when she says "scenes some viewers may find disturbing" Dorian is just sort of..there. He doesn't really serve much purpose so far tbh

He doesn't really serve much purpose so far tbh He is so effeminate I feel my estrogen levels may rise to the point I die, just from looking at this douche. Also his character is kinda pointless and that's from just those 4 eps I've seen

The 3 witch sisters are very cheesy so far. That's my biggest complaint this season.

And the actor's American and doing a bad British accent, so there's that too.

Given the way things stand there is a very easy way to tie him into the main plot lines now. But he is my least favourite among a strong set of characters. jack Bauer, how are the witch sisters cheesy?

The 3 witch sisters are very cheesy so far. That's my biggest complaint this season. Did you start this thread just to keep repeating this? We get it, you don't like the witches. Anyway...I'm loving season 2 so far. Madame Kali is one of the creepiest characters I've seen in some time. Loved Vanessa and Caliban's little talk in episode 2. And the ending to that episode was some disturbing shit, to say the least.

^Helen McCrory's awesome. It's great to see her get a role like this. (Too bad she's not on GoT )

Just finished the 6th episode. I've changed my mind on my least favourite thing.
Billie Piper. Her accent is the worst thing to happen to Ireland since the famine.

Agree that Helen McCrory is an amazing actress. She is probably the most intriguing character in show, second being Eva Green. I still don't understand the point of Dorian Grey being in the story and why is the actor credited first, when he doesn't even seem like a main character, but I guess that could be addressed later. Idk. For GoT, I feel like McCrory could have played Barbrey Dustin or Septa Lemore.

"The Nightcomers" was absolutely fantastic. Best episode since the season 1 flashback episode imo. Eva Green was amazing as always, and Patti LuPone was great as the Cut-Wife. Just a brilliant hour of television.
