The PS5 looks cool. I really liked the look of Kena, Bridge of Spirits.

I watched Parasite twice over the past 2 weeks, really fucking good movie. I gave it a 4.5 initially, but a 5 upon rewatch. There is just so much subtle detail in the movie that is relevant later. For example, at the start we see a picture of the mother on the wall with the swinging ball thing that she later uses when they take over the house for the night. I also really loved how the Kim's entrance into the Park house was marked with the phone/doorbell thing and the same noise also marked the beginning of their downfall. Not to mention the painting we see Da-Song did at the beginning is pretty much the guy in the basement. I had issues with the pacing of the third act in my initial watch through, but I felt it was fine on my re-watch.
I initially missed some stuff in the original watch, e.g I didn't catch onto the use of height being used to represent class and I didn't realise the lever in the basement operated the cabinet, I thought it operated the stone slab door and thought it was a minor error (though it was more just I didn't pay attention).
I was lying back watching it the first time I watched, and jumped up when Moon-Gwang (the initial housekeeper) reveals the secret basement. Sadly I didn't get as tense when the doorbell/phone rang in that long scene the second time, but still great none-the-less. I also didn't expect Jessica to be the one to die out of her and Kevin.
The character development is amazing - I went from liking to hating to feeling sorry for Moon-Gwang, and began hating the poor mother and ended up liking her. Amazing storytelling and sublime music. I'm tempted to go watch it a third time but this time in the cinema. It might be recency bias, but I think it might be my favourite movie of all time (previously Fargo/Gone Girl), but definitely in my top 3. I also watched The Farewell recently, really well done movie. It's about a grandmother in China who gets cancer, and in their culture they believe the worry/stress kills the person so they often don't tell them. It's about the family staging a fake wedding so they can see her without revealing the secret. It's based on a true story (or a 'real lie', as the movie says). Partially in Mandarin, but really good.

Just over a month until the new Animal Crossing is out. Can't wait for it - such a comfy franchise.

Everyone told me God of War is like the best game ever made, and I’m playing through it right now and.... ...it’s not really doing it for me. They obviously misspelt 'NieR: Automata'

Zadeth i don’t recall, was it you or Nezzer who watched the Expanse? Because season four is out and my god its fantastic. In fact, all of you, why aren’t you watching the Expanse?! It was not me. I have heard of it, but no idea what it's about. I'll check out the trailer, I guess. Also, Natalie looking fine as usual.

I watched Lord of Chaos last night, pretty good movie. I never knew Macaulay Culkin had siblings who acted until last night.

I saw Joker last week and really loved it. I might go and see it again. I thought everything about it was beautiful - the acting, the cinematography and the score. I liked that it leaves you thinking and questioning things.
One thing I hate is the online fans of the movie, acting like it's some intellectual thinking man's movie. Don't get me wrong, I think it's an absolutely fantastic movie but they're ruining it a bit for me. Similar to why I could never get into Rick and Morty.

Safe rewatch of Zodiac (2007), one of my favorite movies ever. Only Fincher movie I really like. I watched that for the first time a few months ago, such a great movie!
I really love the scene with the movie poster guy and the 'not many people have basements in california' part - such great tension

This doesn't look abysmal, but my only thought watching the trailer is: "why?".
I did laugh at the end clip.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Suicide Squad is one of my favorite movies ever and I love everything about it. Please respect my privacy at this time. I watched that movie for the first time the other week with my friend, and it's not as awful as people make it out to be.

I think I found a new show to binge - Terrace House. It's a Japanese reality TV show about six strangers (three boys and three girls) who are forced to live together. It's kind of like Big Brother, but they still live their normal lives - they just have to share a living space. It doesn't seem like it's scripted - I think it's mostly just they're told when they cameramen want to film and try to get them to plan things accordingly; the conversations and interactions seem quite genuine.
It's a bit annoying having to read subs for the whole episode, but I really loved Big Brother so it's really fun. It's on Netflix.
