March/Feb would be about right to start getting some teasers maybe. Usually we get a peak in the year end, which is around 4 months before the premiere. So assuming a June/July premiere we should get something soon(ish).

i think within a month, we'll at least get a teaser poster. they're usually very boring and and pointless, but i think we'll get one anyway.

Well i least i have school to finish and some tv shows/anime/asian dramas while wait for the season to release. Glad it's ain't gonna be that time a semi or final episode usually come out when i had exams.  |

It's handy they've delayed the start of Better Call Saul this year, later in the spring to 10th April. My usual year openers in Feb. of Bates Motel and Walking Dead (both pulpy, watchable serial fodder but less cinematic than Thrones so basically the hors d'oeuvres to the main meal) will be followed by Saul and Fargo in the GOT spring slot, then the real deal will follow in June/July immediately after. As usual, it's win-win with American TV (though continuing with the meal metaphor, I suppose this makes the final season of The Strain in later summer the really bad chocolate dessert full of crap and calories you shouldn't have for afters, but do anyway. ) |

One thing, Westworld will not appear until 2018.
HBO waited a tad long about for that, but then seems it is an elaborate production.
As far as is known is GoT going into production for season 8 late?
If they go to 5 episodes , unknown , at this time, S8 could be super short and not overlap any other show.

Yep.  Bar the longer wait, obviously, I love the fact Westworld is taking its time for season 2. The average blockbuster takes two to three years to turn out two hours of mediocre product and yet, in the recent TV boom, we’ve all been spoiled into expecting ten hours plus of filmic quality, yearly, from these top tier HBO shows – and on a fraction of the budget. Not fair on the TV guys really - especially when they’re going for the kind of cinematic sprawl and densely plotted world-building we saw in Westworld. Now, at least Nolan and Lisa Joy get to polish all ten scripts before filming commences rather than risking delays like last time when they had to halt production to finish the final four. Man, I love that show. |

well i'm really looking forward to Big Little Lies, GIRLS (i know i know but i only stream it so i'm not giving lena dunham any of my money), and The Leftovers so i have plenty of HBO tv to watch before GOT premieres
but GOT/asoiaf is my main fandom so obviously its the one i'm most invested in (even though i like the leftovers much more than GOT tbh lol)

I liked it better than Jessica Jones, but the back half isn't nearly as good as the first half of episodes. I'll be streaming The People vs OJ Simpson as that comes on Netflix, and Iron Fist when that comes in March. I'll also watch Big Little Lies, and continue with The Walking Dead (I'm a slave, I can't quit it no matter how bad it gets) Then I'll have Better Call Saul. I think February we will get one of those short 5 second teasers and honestly I'd welcome that.  |

this is excruciating.
i'm just gonna ramble because i have literally nothing better to do.
i hope the meeting at the dragonpit is a huge deal. like, a huge deal. Ideally, there would be a huge crowd of people outside the dragonpit, trying to get a look in (like if it were today, the place would be swarming with paparazzi). Because that's a huge deal, the queen on the iron throne, the proclaimed separatist king in the north, and the last member of the former dynasty trying to reconquer the kingdoms all meeting. or they could go the "secret meeting" route, or just not address the enormity of it at all.
my only question is how does it happen in the first place? Like, who reaches out to who to stop fighting and meet?
i think the wight hunt will be crazy. dragons and white walkers in the same scene will be weird, but in a good way.
i want to see cersei execute some people. i know the leaks don't mention anything about it, but i would like to see cersei cut at least one person's head off.

Got a little out of Iceland but not much ... seems most (everybody?) is headed to NI right now. Surprises me though ... thought the idea was to get in as much snow as possible ...... coolish in Belfast right now.. not exactly cold. Seems , according to Liam Cunningham work till the end of the month ... which seems , still, like a lot of production time for a 7 episode season. Implied... there is a lot of post production for S7. |

As painful as this wait is, I can't believe it's only about 5 months for the season to air tbh
I still remember watching the season 6 finale so clearly. If the season was airing in April like usual it would only be a 2-3 month wait. Damn......especially with how bleak this past year has been
