Why? HBO doesnt have a monopoly on good shows and SyFy does a brilliant job anyway Hate the ad breaks. Me too but that's what PVR's are for I think it's in better hands at syfy. They know how to do space opera. The special effects this season with the space battles have been amazing.

NCW said in an interview that he thinks Jaime killing Cersei is "too obvious."

Well, I expected the news-wire to slow up some following the winding down of filming, but nothing quite prepared me for the arctic tundra of nothingness it's been the past 3-4 weeks. Seriously, I swear WIC and WOTW have been running repeat 'news' on the live concert experience, themed beer, and those damn featured (= filler) book chapter analysis articles ... like ... on a loop .. for-everrrrrrrr. If I were HBO, I'd drop a trailer tout-suite like a motherfucker to save us from this purgatory But hey ... the patience/virtue interface.

C'mon, we had Maisie Williams and a GoT crew in Canada to film some wolf scenes! That ain't nothing! If the last 3-4 weeks felt like "arctic tundra of nothingness" to you, than you getter get prepared for the big black void that is coming for you in the long months until the first promo pictures and teasers will get released (maybe in April)...

I think this has been the most boring and uneventful offseason of the whole show thus far

I think this has been the most boring and uneventful offseason of the whole show thus far Eh welcome back Nezzer! Have you come here to join the dark sides of spoilers? Thanks. Oh, I've been here in the dark side since forever, but stopping by only every now and then. This offseason hasn't really excited me enough to follow the news as religiously as I once did. Maybe it's because I feel the show has peaked (especially after SNOWBOWL) and the end is so close...

Hands down. For me, it's (predictably) been the death of the Stoneheart mystery that endured for three whole years in the off seasons. Any other year, I'd have been climbing the walls with David Bradley back and new Freys cast (as I was in summer 2015 where everything pointed to a glorious reinstatement of the Riverlands instead of the limp off-screen Blackfish death and Lemoncloak trolling we actually wound up with.) This year? Zzzzzzzz, ninja Arya faceswap. Writ large plotwise, just the knowledge the leaks have repeatedly been proven so consistently legit with zero elbow room for stuff left to surpise us has taken the wind out of the sails too - but on that score, we can hardly blame the show for making us read bloody Reddit. Just the general feeling of rushing to the end and squeezing on the episode count is what has most deflated me. I know Benioff & Weiss say they wanna wrap up sooner to go out on top and not drag things out etc - and no doubt that's the truth - but something in the back of my mind still tells me they also wanna wrap up sooner cuz after ten years on this thing they want to move to pastures new, big film gigs, and are basically dog-tired/done. The show still has occasional flashes of brilliance (hold the door, sept-o-geddon) which is often thanks to Ramin as much as scripting/acting, but personally I see seasons 1-3 and 4-6 as separate entities, quality-wise. And aaaanyway, there's always West World.
