I'm worry that Sapochnik won't be work with them in S7, maybe he will return in S8? I hope so. But Michele Clapton is official back

After scouring his IMDB page, I discovered that Shakman actually has a really shockingly impressive resume:
Six Feet under (1 ep) One Tree Hill (1 ep) Boston Legal (1 ep) Everybody Hates Chris (2 eps) Ugly Betty (3 eps) Children's Hospital (2 eps) House (5 eps) Psych (5 eps) Fargo (2 eps) Revenge (4 eps) The Good Wife (6 eps)
Along with his 39 episodes of Sunny, which D&D love, the dude is no slouch. I think there's a pretty good chance we've found our Cogman-written episode director. He'll do a good job of handling the dialogue driven scenes and character moments.

I always hope they bring back Tim Van Patten for an ep with this big budget. Best tv director ever for me. But I'll settle for Taylor.

So it will either be 7 or 8 episodes, interesting that HBO announces this but not the number of episodes.

Shakman does have a good TV resume - better than his film resume which includes the flat out terrible Cut Bank.

So if Sapochnik is held back for season 8, does that mean we won't get many interesting action scenes in season 7?

What do we think the parade in the streets of King's Landing is? Since Tommen's funeral was ruled out, what could it be?

What do we think the parade in the streets of King's Landing is? Since Tommen's funeral was ruled out, what could it be? Some sort of celebration of the new Queen? If they can enforce people not rioting when she is crowned they can enforce it too

Well. it's July.. production should start soon, only comment is from David:
BENIOFF: It’s two more seasons we’re talking about. From pretty close to the beginning, we talked about doing this in 70-75 hours, and that’s what we’ll end up with. Call it 73 for now. (June 27, 2016)
For now? HBO still seems reluctant to say.

So if Sapochnik is held back for season 8, does that mean we won't get many interesting action scenes in season 7? You know thinking about that some more. They have tried to Top-That each season, but the Big Kahuna should be in season 8. So what to do in S7? Rumor , kind of vague one, is 'battles' at 'castles' , well now who wants to see more of those? The Wall and the NightOthersWhiteKingWalkers something(?) will probably will happen, that actually sounds interesting. If Dany's vision in season 2 means something looks like KL is trashed either by her and the invasion or self inflected by Cersei. (That was the vision in the House of the Undying where people can die!)

It's funny that D&D are saying 13 more and HBO is saying nothing. Kind of sad that Bender will not be directing for season 7. Nice to have Alan Taylor back.

You know David Nutter took off S6 after doing S5 saying he needed a break, I think Alex Graves said the same after season 4. Alex Graves directed 4 episodes season 4 so it's not always 5 direct 2 apiece. Michelle MacLaren did episodes in 3 and 4, but they have had no woman director since then.
