Truth. And honestly, I don't think we're going to see Gendry again. Well, it seems you might be wrong and he could be rowing into some port soon: I really expect them to bring Gendry back. It would be so easy to do, and fans would love it. He could pop up anywhere nearish Kings Landing. |

i wanna see gendry again, but i'm not sure what he'll do. some people genuinely seem to expect him to come back with an army and like dethrone cersei. sorry but i cant buy that. joining up with the brotherhood, settling down as a blacksmith, being a part of the stark household, etc, are all things that would make sense for his character. but i dont see him making a bid for the IT any time soon.

I really don't expect his status as a Baratheon bastard to factor into the plot. It's possible someone could try to use him and put him on the throne, but the only people who know are Mel and Davos, I think. I just think he'll come back to be an Arya sidekick and fight in the final war. I think she and the Hound will meet up again too. Oh, and I totally forgot to mention, I think he'll be the smith who helps Sam make more Valyrian steel. |

And as Arya and Melisandre will almost certainly meet up again, he might also play a role in Melisandre's fate... It's kind of hard to imagine Gendry killing her, even after she made his first sexual experience horrifying and wanted to barbecue him. He seems too sweet, but I can see Arya doing it.  |
