No order 1. Jaime and Edmure. I'd go as far as to say this was the best scene Jaime's had since the bathtub. Jaime trying and failing to negotiate, Edmure's defensiveness about his sister, the catapult line...this scene was perfect.
2. The Throne Room. No doubt Cersei was having flashbacks to the Walk of Shame, coming in through a crowd of people staring at her. The way Kevan dismissed her was very shitty. Lena's acting as she helplessly watched her only son publicly betray her and essentially sentence her to death was heartbreaking. Plus the music in the background was eerie and tense.
3. Arya and Lady Crane. This scene was perfect to me because it showed for the first time in forever that Arya is still vulnerable and capable of compassion. Lady Crane is clearly no angel (she slashed Bianca) but the way she helped Arya was just kindness and compassion in its most basic form. And Arya seemed almost childlike in this episode, asking about the world and being afraid she can't remember the words in a play. Very mother-daughter.
4. Brienne and Jaime. This episode proves that no matter what happens, Brienne will always have somet hold over Jaime that he just can't shake. Their wave at the end was so cute too lol.
5. Arya vs the Waif. This was just a raw fight scene, injected with quite a bit of emotion. Arya almost looks like she's ready to give up, and that she knows her end is near. But the way she cuts the candle is a throwback to her being blind, so she knows how to fight without seeing.

1) I'm obsessed with this scene. I realized one of the reasons it works so well is the incredibly subdued, intimate tone of voice everyone is using. It's particularly appropriate given Cersei's and Lancel's history. 2) Edmure and Jaime conversation. 3) Jaime and Brienne conversation. 4) Sandor's ambush. 5) Jaime takes Riverrun without bloodshed (except for the Black Fish )

1. Arya going home in the end. Also how pretty did Maisie look here? Her hair finally started growing back to s1 length 2. Jaime/Brienne wave 3. Sandor's lines 4. I did like various shots in the episode like that blood of the Sparrow spilling under the floor level, Arya barely walking next to some stone walls and colorful doors, oranges spilling etc.

1. Throne Room Announcement - Brilliant. Perfect beats, with callbacks to the Red Wedding (doors shutting down) and Walk of Shame. Lena does the best acting of the episode, all wordless. It's not just a shaming but the ultimate betrayal. My favorite King's Landing scene of the season. Madness, madness in the air 2. Edmure & Jaime - Who knew Edmure could be this interesting, or that he would be the character to make Jaime great again? The way the conversation shifts from diplomacy to remembrance to that final brutal threat is amazing. Jaime become who Edmure thought him to be. 3. Arya and Lady Crane - Perfect conclusion to the theatre arc. Arya lies to Lady Crane (she knows full well where she's headed) but it's not the hollow Faceless-type lies from season 5. It's a surprisingly playful, joyous conversation that sums up Arya's development this season. 4. Lifting of the Siege - Every bit of this is awesome, from the Blackfish's wounded pride and defeated look as they let Edmure in, to Edmure requesting Blackfish's arrest. The Blackfish is the last of the old world characters to go down, prideful to a fault - both his flaw and his strength. 5. Jaime sees Brienne escape - Great poetic moment and conclusion to the Riverrun arc. Episode 8 is a story of defeat, which may feel quite anticlimactic for such a late episode, but I loved it - no one won, not Jaime, not Edmure, not the Blackfish, not Brienne. Everyone did what they could or what they were programmed to do. There's a hollowness to Jaime's victory that's summed up perfectly in those last few shots.

By the way, I really liked the CGI work in the scene where the Masters ships are attacking Meereen.
