I think that Jon will try stalling tactics after seeing the promo. I think Sansa is going to tell him about the letter she sent. I think Davos was also in the room with Jon and Sansa in the promo. I wonder if Mel tells them that the weather will stay good for them. Nearly 2m views on Youtube in 23 hours. That's massive. He can't be stalling, those are his forces charging in the promo, while Ramsay seems to be holding his ground. But according to the leaks Ramsey releases Rickon which would provoke the battle. Up until that point, Jon may be trying to stall the battle until the Vale forces arrive.

Most likely Rickon's death/or reveal..

Edit: Oh and "synopsis" And the only thing similar to synopsis of E9 and 10 what we get:
6.09 Battle of the Bastards: Terms of surrender are rejected and accepted.
6.10 The Winds of Winter: Season Finale. Cersei faces her trial
watchersonthewall.com/game-thrones-makes-2016-emmy-submissions-reveals-final-synopses/
So should we assume the terms of surrender are rejected in Winterfell and accepted in Meereen (because 3 dragons and a small ironborn fleet will spread enough fear to make the slavers' armies break) ? Or will it be the other way round? Ramsay surrenders in Winterfell. And in Meereen either Daenerys rejects the slavers' terms of surrender (because the slavers have the upper hand before the dothraki and ironborn arrive), or the slavers reject Daenerys' terms of surrender and are completely destroyed.

I would bet on first option Dany will also have Dothraki, so with dragons, Unsullied and Ironborns it will be enough to force surrender on masters. And from, let's say, technical point of view, Battle of Fire should take less screeen time, because Snowbowl is the main event of the evening.
And in Winterfell Jon probably proposes a duel to avoid the battle (promo), and Ramsay rejects the proposal and hurts Rickon.

Like even if they surrender, do you think Dany will let them live? They have backstabbed her twice both in the Pit and now after Tyrion tried to work a deal with them. It would be crazy to think they wouldn't try something else later on.

Some time ago I read BryndenBFish great article about Dany's future- predictions based on the books, and he wrote about Masters Doom. But in the other hand in the show they presented Dany as a savior and the killing of thousands of people (even if these are bad people) doesn't fit well to this image. On the other hand, they are threat to her and former slaves, so it's hard to say . I'd say: 80% that they won't survive , 20 % that survive.

These people have no intention of letting her live of letting her freedmen stay free. I'm not sure she's going to kill every last one of them but why would she let most of them live. Enough is enough, they will never let her people just be, they will always be a thread. I don't think it makes Dany bad to destroy the people who are trying to destroy her and her people.

OK, I think we should move discussion on different topic (even if I like this conversation), because we used way too much spoiler tags :/ I don't think that as well. I like the vision of Dany as avenger and savior. It would be boring and weird if she would stay mhysa forever. Fire and Blood, you know. But also I think that some people will give it an excuse to hate her , even though to other characters they turn a blind eye to similar actions.

I won't put this in spoiler because you are right, there are too many. But you are absolutely right, no matter what Dany does her haters will always find a reason to hate. It doesn't matter if a beloved character (Jon) does something similar, the worst intentions will be attributed to her. Dany is a Mother but she's also a Dragon, you fuck with her children you are going to get Dracarys. I don't have a problem with that but some people do.

In order to like a character you don't have to hate a character that might come in conflict with him or her. But getting back on topic, I totally hate Ramsay, because he's evil and has hurt character's I like. He needs to die a horrible death befitting his horribleness.

Hey I tried to follow you and atimeforwolves discussion inside the spoiler tags but you're right ... hard to keep it going productively that way. Can we start a speculation thread for Siege of Meereen that's Spoiler Tagged in the title to discuss this because I'd love to talk about it more ... it's a wildcard right now in the story and the Promo didn't even feature it so we shouldn't talk about it here anyways. We CAN make a spoiler topic for it though. *edit: I went ahead and created one. It's spoiler tagged in title and I included opening post warning so it should be safe to discuss Siege of Meereen there without tags. No leaks. Here it is for @moaif, atimeforwolves and anyone else who wants to discuss the other big battle coming up.
