I thought it's pretty much confirmed he's not Bloodraven in the show? He had both eyes, no birthmark, wasn't an albino, and most convincingly, he said he'd been in the cave for 1000 years. We can't really use physical characteristics as any confirmation can we? If that were the case, Daario isn't Daario, and Euron isn't Euron, and ... well you get the point. Others have said maybe the "waiting a thousand years" was just an exaggeration. Maybe the old guy doesn't even remember how long he's been in there considering he spends all his time jacked into the weirnet?

You are probably right about everything you said, but I'm starting to think that the Three Eyed Raven in the show will turn out to be Bran himself, and I'm going to hate it

I think Three Eyed Raven is who he is, not Bran - but they haven't given any clues to who he really is at all. He is (was) wearing black which leads us to wonder if he wasn't part of the Night's Watch at some point, or if that costume is just to give him a 'raven-like' look.

In 3x02 Jojen says "You can't kill the raven, Bran." Bran asks why and Jojen responds "Because the raven is you".

That's what makes me think he might be Bran. Not a single word was said regarding his identity, not a single clue, and that really worries me. I absolutely loved the Hodor reveal, but there's only so many time paradoxes you can introduce in this show before it starts to feel cheap and stupid.

Ugh, another potential instance of foreshadowing Yeah that was some seriously weird foreshadowing along with him saying "The time has come for you to become me" ... My mind is getting all in knots again thinking about it.

I have nothing to add to this conversation aside from I fucking love Meera.

I wouldn't HATE the idea of the 3ER being Bran from the future, but the biggest issue I have with that is that that is obviously not Bran's fate in the books (because 3ER is BR) and I have trouble wrapping my head around them changing the ending so much for Brandon Stark, of all people

Yeh i don't think the identity of the 3ER is going to be very important for the series so they just simply didn't bother with his backstory. I don't think it was supposed to be bloodraven otherwise they might have made the effort to make him look like that (unless Von Sydow was like NOPE)
Its very unlikely Bran IS the 3ER either. I mean it has been shown that Bran can visit the past and have effects on it but he seems to always be able to return to the present time. Unless of course he dies in the present time and gets stuck in the past. Which i think is what happened with Hodor. Possible but unlikely...
It was hard to tell, but yeh that COTF went straight for the heart which contained the hardest part of the armour, and the spear didn't look sharp enough to tear through it at all. Meera got a great fatality there- i think its definitely what will happen in the books. Since they did meet Sam and he did give them the dragonglass as well. The sword she picked up...didn't Hodor bring a sword? because i know he did in the books but i can't recall ever seeing one in the show. I doubt it is darksister because they would have made a point of it.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed but I was looking at the episode again and I notice that the CofF had in fact stabbed the WW and nothing happened but when Meera speared him she was able to kill him. Why do you think that is? Did the CotF not stab him deep enough, did it not go through it's armor? what @fireandblood said sums it up, but I think this raises an interesting point about the armour. Jon killed the Walker at Hardhome with Valyrian steel slashing through the armour, so it seems, so the armour doesn't protect against 'dragon steel', but it does against Obsidian. So if the Walkers are intelligent enough to defend against their weaknesses, this means they are far more intelligent than the weapons the children likely intended them to be. It makes me wonder just what other 'technology' the White Walkers have at their disposal? I think that they are just as intelligent as men, as they are truly men. The NK was human and a grown man when he was changed so all that experience plus the thousands of years he's been alive has given him a lot of knowledge I imagine. Although, the magic might have messed with his head, i.e. intelligence.
