After husband's underwhelming reaction last week, this week he did not disappoint:
I called it three years ago about Hodor! I am so awesome! Now they won't think I'm crazy at work!!!
He was laughing hysterically at Euron being drowned. I don't know why.
When the zombies were coming, he started saying, "We gotta go Carl. We got to go Carl!"
Right now he feels so vindicated and obviously loved this episode. Called it the best of the season even though we had to lose Hodor.

Today is my dad's 50th birthday and on his 40th, his father died. The only thing he said during the episode was "I can't believe Hodor died on my birthday too!" Then he laughed at me when I got back inside from crying on my porch.

I cannot believe Hodor, Summer, and Bloodraven died on my fucking birthday either. My mom, who actually watched the show with me this week as she's visiting couldn't get past Meera having to pull the sled. She was like "How the fuck is she going to get away and pull that thing?" She also wtf'd pretty hard during the drowning after the Kingsmoot. She kept asking when they were going to start CPR.

My brother is pretty pissed about Euron. He's a massive Dorne and Ironborn fan in the books, so the show has been rough on him the last couple seasons. At least he got Euron (even if he's bland), I'll never see my favorite Greyjoy on screen.

Happy Belated Birthday day dreamer ... what a humdinger of an episode to celebrate it with, eh? I talked to my eldest son today and he had lots to say about this episode. He's halfway through the books so he knows quite a bit but is still fairly unsullied about a lot of things in the latter half (ADWD material). - He actually liked the kingsmoot but thinks the ironborn in general are a little odd-ball and won't be good leaders so he dismisses any chance of them actually winning anything with their fleet of ships. Dany will use them for a free ride. - He wants to know (like Mom!) how Shireen was cured of Grayscale and if Jorah can be too. - Didn't understand why Sansa would meet up with Littlefinger but not ask him to bring the Vale troops to Winterfell. Good question! - Thought the action sequence of the CotF / WW / Fireballs / Racing through tunnels was amazing and some of the best special effects he's seen since LOTR (yay!) but was shocked by the Hodor reveal and death as we all were. - Thinks Arya is going to kill The Waif next episode instead of the actress (no spoilers!)

Brother loves Aryas story, when he saw 'the boobs' Brother also said he'd 'bang that tree elf' lmao Everyone was talking so much and so hyped when the WW showed up at bran's cave I could hardly hear what was happening. They were disappointed all the COTF died. Dad when Euron appeared: "who's that?" then he remembered. They seemed unimpressed by the kingsmoot.

My husband thought that the baptism would be the end of Euron.

Brother also said he'd 'bang that tree elf' lmao My father was sad because of Hodor's death. Hold the Door He likes Euron, but after I told what he's like in the books, he seems disappointed at the show's portrayal of him.

My best friend gave me a call minutes after having watched the episode. She was sobbing. SOBBING. Honestly, I thought someone in real life had died or something. She scared the shit out of me. And then she said "Hold the door! Hold the door! My poor baby. " That's when I realized she was crying because of GoT. She also said she cried more during this than during the RW, which is true, because I watched the RW with her. "Hold the door" made her cry, the RW made her mad as fuck. But yeah, she loved the episode.

My other half now hates Bran. He says that Bran used Hodor's innocence and then murdered him. The scene made him angry.

Bran screwed Hodor up just to make him his personal meat shield. Bran had no idea what was going to happen so we can't really hate him the same as someone who intentionally harms someone innocent. It's a bit unfair to say "Fuck Bran" the same way you say "Fuck Olly" for instance. The three eyed raven knew though, I'm sure of it. He also knew it had to happen and that he himself would die in the process too. He told Bran to listen to his friend as she screamed at him to warg into Hodor. The whole thing was a setup from the start being in that particular vision at that particular moment.
