HBO and partners have been getting better and better at providing ways for people to watch Game of Thrones legally in many places. But there are still holes. Where I live, there is still currently no way to legally stream Game of Thrones and I am sure this is not the only place that has been neglected.
I could watch by hooking up a television and paying insane amounts of money for channels I will NEVER watch ever, since other than GOT I never watch TV at all. I could also watch online 24 hours after the show first airs, on a tiny, temporary free streaming option that is IMO destroyed by French subtitles (at least they don't dub). As an addict I am frankly incapable of waiting that long.
This thread is about discussing any and all holes in legal HBO services, and in particular for providing updates when new services fix these holes. HBO Now badly needs to come to Europe.

In which country do you live? Guessing from French speaking countries in Europe, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxemburg or Monaco.

In Germany, I don't think you can not stream only GoT, too. You can watch the undubbed version on Mondays at Sky (and the dubbed version later I believe).

As far as I can tell Sky doesn't have streaming most places is that right? So it is TV only and I don't even have a TV or want one. I live in Switz. It is showing on RTS and streaming online for a limited time 24 hours late here. That's the only option I can find.

I apologize in advance for not understanding how this all works. But I can tell you I "cut the cord" in May 2015 which basically means I only pay for internet charges and the services I want. Being an avid sports fan, I had to figure out how to clear some hurdles. But so far, so good... VPN service may be your ticket... Are you able to get HBO Now access? If so, it's only $15/month. VPN service should run you about $5/month. So for $60 that will cover you over the next few months. Then after 6.10, just cancel both services. Here's a web page that might be able to help you: thevpn.guru/hbo-now-watch-outside-us-vpn-dns-proxyGood luck! Another helpful link: thevpn.guru/watch-hbo-go-outside-us-canada-uk/

What workaround? It says on that page that no, you can't watch it in Europe. Edit: sorry, I see what you mean. But that only works if you actually have a way to get an American VPN, no proxy...which doesn't work for those of us who live here.

Just install Unlocator or something else that changes your IP address. Then you can use HBO Now.

Anyway, what I want is actual access...as in, the service actually available in Europe without all the extra ridiculous steps. Until that happens I am not signing up for anything.

I haven't tried it on HBO Now, but when I was on a vacation I used Unlocator to cheat HBO Nordic. I imagine they work quite similarly.

Right, but in this case you have an American account, so did not need to create the account in the first place from outside the US with a non-American credit card etc. Sorry, Nordic account, not American.

Step #1: Sign up for a VPN service: www.purevpn.com/order (Look for free trials to test if you like) Step #2: Establish the VPN connection. You can use your Windows/Mac PC or several streaming devices. Step #3: Sign up for HBO Now. Free trial available right now. From my understanding, you don't need to worry about an physical address to create an account. Step #4: Test on Sunday. I'm telling you I'm an American and I do the VPN service to get past blackouts for MLB baseball and NHL hockey.

Curious to hear from anyone in Europe who has tried anything like this, specifically with a non-American credit card and address when eventually required.

I don't have Sky, but I have a NowTV subscription which has Sky Atlantic, so I watch GoT with that. Idk if it's available outside of the UK, but it's worth a look?

Some Sky is available here on cable only, and only with the highest end, insanely expensive packages. No way to get Sky only here, and no streaming for those of us who do not even own a TV and have zero interest in a cable hook-up.
