I thought the Theon and Mercy chapters were the best, with the Alayne one being the weakest. Especially after having waited so long to catch up with Sansa.

Have you read Arianne II? he just posted it, even though it was one he had already read at conventions and there some transcriptions around. I like Arianne as a character, and the chapter is not bad per se, but it is a travelogue that once again cuts when things are getting interesting. I understand he is not going to post any big chapters, but that doesn't make it any less irritating. I think I like the Theon chapter the best, Mercy is good, but it made my skin crawl once she starts kissing Raff, even though nothing really happens, and Alayne was kind of fluffy (as fluffy as ASOIAF can be anyway) which was a nice change of tone from all the doom and the gloom and the battles.

I like Theon one the best. GRRM's Theon chapters are some of his best work, IMO.
Stannis' oneliners help too.

So fAegon already has Storm's End? Didn't GRRM say that we will see battle there early on? So the battle will be fAegon against the Tyrells, not Stannis' host.

IMO he manages to conquer KL, maybe after marrying Arianne, and dies once Dany arrives.

Not impressed by the glacial pacing of the new chapters. I just can't see GRRM finishing this story in just two more books. And we all know what that means...

But no matter if it's Dany or Euron who kills him, I hope it'll be by dragon fire. I expect fAegon to be a Blackfyre, but I don't think the boy himself will ever find out. He will die believing he's son of Rhaegar.

I liked his little comment on his blog about how the Dornish crew have much left to do in Winds

True, but he can't really release any other chapters. Half of them ended on cliffhangers, so characters like the Greyjoy brothers, Sansa, Arianne, and Dany are the only ones he can release as samples. Personally I'm really intrigued about the possibility of TWoW having four battles. Battle of Ice, Siege of Meereen, fAegon vs the Tyrells, and of course Snowbowl.

TWoW is evident, but I wonder if we ever get ADoS.

TWoW is evident, but I wonder if we ever get ADoS. "And no, just to spike any bullshit rumors, changing the sample chapter does NOT mean I am done. See the icon up above? Monkey is still on my back... but he's growing, he is, and one day..." ... George R R Martin Well George has been true to his word , staying in Santa Fe.... he really seems reluctant to say where he is in the novel.
