1. The Hanging - Beautifully moody, sort of sad and pathetic but also crucial for Jon's development and the history of the Wall. Love how Alliser Thorne and Olly (who looks possessed) stay true to their roots. There's not even a flash of regret or doubt. I like to think this is the moment where Jon 2.0 realizes Ned's notion of passing the sentence amounts to absolutely nothing in the end. He's off to carve his own path.
2. Birth of Tommen the Blessed - Another magnificent King's Landing scene, with High Sparrow playing benevolent philosopher and mentor to Tommen. He realizes immediately that all that Tommen needs (and knows) is love, and earns his attention by suggesting this is a divine concept. It makes total sense that Tommen would end up a religious king. This is the kind of scene that makes me love the show. I hope they keep coming till the end.
3. Arya vs. the Waif - Great stuff, from the insight into Arya's head, to the editing, to the lines. The Waif's technique backfires and Arya uses her hatred for her to get back on her feet. The scene is full of riddles like that.
4. Winterfell Council - All kinds of interesting dynamics between Ramsay, Karstark and the Smalljon. Shows that the situation in the North is fragile everywhere. And the Smalljon owns the scene despite his treachery. Seeing Natalia brings the feels.
5. Small Council - Classic moment with the Queen of Madness and her walking monster terrorizing Pycelle and the small council. Yeah, time for politics is over.
Honorable Mention: The Three-Eyed Raven vs. Bran - Love the tension that builds up between these two after Bran's little outburst. When Max von Sydow says "everything", the world comes to a halt. Varys playing the Green Whore - beautifully done. Dany with the Dosh Khaleen - almost feels like an alternate continuation of her season 1 story. Qyburn and the little birds - like something out of distorted Charles Dickens.

1. Smalljon Umber's introduction. Damn, I love him so much. But hate him so much for Shaggydog. Though I'd rather have Shaggy as Ramsay's furry cloak than as a severed head.
2. Jon hangs the mutineers. Marsh and Yarwyck were acting like the whiny rats they are, but Thorne went out with honour. He was a massive prick, but a determined prick all the same. And finally fucking Olly is dead. I've been waiting for this since 4x03. I also loved Edd's reaction after becoming the Lord Commander.
3. Tower of Joy. Some great book dialogue, and the fight was fucking epic. Fuck Bloodraven for being such a cockblock.
4. Arya's training montage. Do I have to explain?
5. The conversation between Tommen and the High Sparrow. This really shows how the HS is able to manipulate Tommen without the young king even noticing. This was a good set-up.

1. Jon's first waking and talk with Davos - this was heartbreaking and Kit Harrington really nailed it. The confusion, the terror, the sorrow and dejection of failure. Jon's existential crisis is perfect. Davos and his ever sage advice is perfect.
2. Tower of Joy - beautiful scenery and camera work, amazing fight choreography, amazing actors. Everything just worked perfectly in this scene other than the fact they cut it off at the moment of truth. That was cruel after such buildup!
3. Arya's Training Montage - great music and cut-scenes to keep you guessing wtf is going on and what the waif is really up to... I loved it. Finally some payoff for all those beatings Arya had to suffer as Blind Beth.
4. Ramsay and Smalljon - I liked this scene a lot even though it had a terrible ending. Great casting for Smalljon and one of the few people so far not afraid to give Ramsay a dose of his own arrogance and shit talk.
5. The Hanging - Jon's exodus from the Watch was nothing short of gut wrenching. I had hoped they'd do it swiftly and without a lot of argument so it was perfect how he did so with Edd. The death of the murderers was haunting too.

The death of the murderers was haunting too. You're right, the first scene has very interesting stuff going on. Jon's "I shouldn't be here" bewilderment, Melisandre desperately looking for signs of her god beyond the grave, Davos acting as Jon's protector. But of course, they saved the big reveal for the final scene, where we realize something has truly changed.

Five best: 1. ToJ for excellent fight stunt work and the heartbreaking moment that Bran realizes Ned could hear him. 2. Ramsey and the Smalljon..even though I hated the way the scene ended, I felt like it was the best acted scene of the whole episode. The actor who plays Smalljon was terrific and I want him to die via Tormund Giantsbane. 3. The talk with Davos and Jon. Liam Cunningham continues to be the MVP of the season for me. 4. The hanging, mainly the performances of Owen Teale and Brenock O'Connor: Throne, stubborn and resolute until the end. Olly, the eternal hater. 5. I found the Kings Landing scene to comical. Whether the show intended to be or not, the Tyrells, Pycelle and Kevan just out and out dismissing Jamie, Clegane and Cersei was pretty funny and well done.
