I'm fighting the good fight against peeking at the spoilers. But, I've no worries about sneaking peaks ahead once I have the book in my greedy lil' hands. I'll be turning page after page, lost in the story until I finish. which will be painfully too soon, however long it takes.

I came into the books thoroughly spoiled, so I probably would flip ahead tbh. I remember doing that with the last HP books, knowing who kills who isn't really spoiling for me without knowing the why and all the other details.

I will most likely skip right to Jon......Or at least see when the first Jon chapter is.

I think this will be the first book of ASOIAF I will read without knowing anything about it other than sample chapters. Because hopefully TWoW will be released next spring or summer, I will read before watching Season 6. Though, if the book is not released until 2017, I will spoil myself. Tho, even if I skip Season 6, I will ask my friends and dad whether Stannis and Roose survive or not. Do you mean on the show? D&D are switching stuff up; live people in book world could end up dead in show world.

I never peeked ahead until AFFC and then I think if I remember I was getting bored with some of the draggy bits and just wanted to see where they were going...only reading like the first few pages and then going back to where I was previously. I didn't peek ahead at all in ADWD, I devoured it so fast there was no time for spoilers. In fact that's why I need to re-read it again... I don't remember the merged parts well enough anymore and my timeline is all skewed. I don't want to peek ahead in WoW but I don't know how strong I'm going to be after this long wait and the show making it worse.

On aGoT and aCoK I did not skip anything. Then, on aSoS, I was in ecstasy after the first Sam chapter, so I had to skip ahead to see when would be the next one (and it was a long time flipping pages, actually).
On aFfC I peaked my skills on skipping. I absolutely hated every single Brienne and Samwell chapter on this book until the half of it or something, and I loved the Cersei ones from the beginning. So sometimes when there was something like "Cersei - Brienne - Cersei", I would skip the Brienne one to get to Cersei, then get back to the one I skipped. Not proud of it though. And just to be clear, by the end of the book I came to understand how beautifully written all stories from aFfC are, like Brienne's arc peaking on her fight against Rorge, and meeting with Cat.
On aDwD I could keep myself from any skipping, and plan to do the same on tWoW. I can't be sure I will succeed if there is any chapter named "Catelyn" or "Stoneheart", though.

I always do. I can't stand the anxiety and I end up flying through the stuff that I don't care about as much to get to the stuff that I do...so in all honesty, I read better when I skip ahead.
The first thing I will do is find out what happens to Jon. That's my #1 "have to find out" thing on my list.

D&D's version of AFFC and ADWD (Season 5) will most likely be better than GRRM's version. That's heresy in other online realms, but I'll stand by it.
I'll wait to watch the last 3 episodes before I commit to that.
It's hard not to think this version is not an improvement (at least more entertaining) for certain characters (Brienne/Tyrion/Sansa/Stannis).
I still think Jamie and Dorne plotline are still TBD (if it's better than the books)

It cannot even be compared, I think, when the show doesn't have Catelyn, Aegon, Euron, Victarion, Arianne, Moqorro, the rest of the Meereenese characters, Oldtown, the Riverlands, Volantis... The show is doing just fine with what it could handle, but the books have a much bigger and more complex plot, that would never fit in a TV show, so why even compare? That's how I see, at least. I criticize the show only when it doesn't stand up for itself (like some Dorne scenes we were forced to watch), or when characters I love die prematurely, but that's me being emotional

First thing I will do is to check what happened to Jon and if House Bolton is at the appendix.

I knew from the beginning that Jon's fate is a cliffhanger, so I skipped nothing. I don't normally skip things in books, I tend to read much much faster though.
I remember being spoiled the deaths of Fred, Lupin and Tonks in the Deathly Hallows, because I read it in the newspaper. I was devastated for days!
EDIT: Omg, I forgot Dobby!
