To be honest if I were her I'd hook up with Tyrion At least he is useful Well if Missandei would be ambitious. Bang Tyrion -> Wed him -> Dany invades Westeros and seats Tyrion at Casterly Rock -> Become the Lady of the Rock -> Enjoy high born life I always knew there was more to her

So who is the leader of the damn Harpies? Does it not matter? It seems to matter. I thought it was Hizdahr, but with him dead, who does that leave? Daario, himself? Is it possible those were sell swords wearing Harpy masks?

I don't know, shouldn't it be someone more important to Dany than her?

I still like the plot twist of the prostitute being Jhiqui, Dany's missing handmaiden, who was only seen once in Season 1.

Tbh, I don't care a lot about who the Harpy is. For me it is just the impersonation of a major group in Meereen that wants to preserve traditions like slave trade and fighting pits, because they benefit financially from them.

I don't see it happening, but it's still a great story haha. Missandei goes from slave to highborn Lady of one of the most impressive Castles, cities and family names in Westeros. Oh and mixed-race Lannisters would be so cute... like baby Scar instead of Mufasa for the lion.

Is it possible those were sell swords wearing Harpy masks? Do they really need a leader? It's just an organization headed by the upper class of Meereen that wants Dany gone. They don't need a boss villain to be defeated for the story to proceed.

They don't need a boss villain to be defeated for the story to proceed. I think I was more curious to find out who the Harpy was before they shortened the Meereen story arc - thankfully. Bypassing it and cutting all of the political intrigue frees us up to focus on the bigger picture and not really care who the Harpy was especially now that Hizdahr is out of the equation. If they had not killed him off I would still be asking who the hell the Harpy was and he would of course be prime suspect. I watched reaction videos and almost all the unsullied were certain he was behind it until they saw him stabbed - so that was a nice little plot twist. Now it doesn't really matter unless they intend to have more Meereen crap next season before they leave for Westeros. I pray they do not.

I've had it in my head all season that there is a leader or leaders that they are trying to root out, but that might be book artifacts coloring my expectations instead of something that was actually _there_ on screen. I guess we'll know soon whether it's important.

Dany will break the wheel. All Missandei has to do is stay on Dany's small council and she'll be set for as long as Dany stays in power. Missandei already seems to have as much money as she could want to spend on clothing, and we've seen Dany doing her hair. And Greyworm isn't a bad catch either - he is one of Dany's top generals and trusted counselors. Tyrion would definitely be up for your plan though.

I guess we'll know soon whether it's important. In both books and show, the SotH are an organized group. So there must be some sort of leadership. But in the books since we only have Dany's perspective, it is very difficult to tell what is actually going on in Mereen. It is a reasonable adaptation choice to leave it murky in the show too. Anyway, the leaders of insurgencies are often hard to identify. Neither the audience nor Dany understand Mereen well at all; we wouldn't plausibly be able to identify the leaders of the insurgency. And we're about to abandon Mereen anyway, it doesn't really matter anymore.

Yeah, I think it may be one of those deals where there's not one person at the root of it all who can be taken out or apprehended. The way they keep coming out of nowhere in droves gives off some vibes of "cut off one head, two more will take its place".

I came across a cool theory at another board. What if the Iron Throne has to be dismantled in order to procure enough Valyrian steel to fight the WWs. Yes, it's the 'iron' throne, and not the 'valyrian steel' throne, but it was forged by Aegon's dragon and so might be imbued with the same dragon magic that turns ordinary metal into Valyrian steel. Anyway, I like it!

That is beautiful. I'm glad they didn't go with Shireen's death. There was nothing beautiful about that one. It was horrible.
