I wonder if they're holding back on episode titles because of potential spoilers.. I have to suspect this might be why they aren't going to release them until the last minute. They would be hard pressed to find creative episode titles that don't give anything away considering there were what, 5 or 6 cliffhangers at the end of Season 5?

But then, D&D don't do the episode titles. It's Cogman, is it not? Or someone even lower than he is?

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get: Game of Thrones Episode 1 Game of Thrones Episode 2 Game of Thrones Episode 3 ... and so on. I'd laugh my ass off.

I guess episode 2 will be titled "The Last Greenseer" and the one having Jon's resurrection "Warrior of Light", so they'd be considered as spoilery. Not to mention the synopses.

They're already experts at masking spoilers in their synopses:

I was going to post this in the episode title predictions thread. I think episode 4 will be named "The Stallion Who Mounts the World" , but otherwise I agree. "The Night Gathers" would also be a great name for the finale, assuming that that's when the WW attack the Wall.

They're already experts at masking spoilers in their synopses: I think that 5.09 synopsis actually beat "Sam and Gilly meet an older gentleman".

Some really cool titles there. I think the Ironborn should have at least one title, though. Maybe "The Seastone Chair" or "The Kingsmoot" or "Silence". And I think there's a decent chance that the last episode will be named "Winds of Winter", specially if the Wall comes down.

Not sure which episode, even though Episode 2 will be Euron's introduction.

How about: Episode 1 Jon's resurrection, part 1 Episode 2 Jon's resurrection, part 2 Episode 3 Qyburn reanimates Myrcella Episode 4 Myrcella and Greg-Zom get married. Episode 5 Benjen Stark turns up as Coldhands and nobody knows why! That's all there are no episodes 6 thru 10 because they ran out time!

I doubt the episode titles are any more spoilery than they have always been. It's fairly unreasonable to speculate that an episode title can give away much of anything, that's a pretty big stretch.
This just continues the pattern for S6 which is to delay and hold back as much information as possible for as long as possible. Clearly it's a reaction to all the leaks last season which they couldn't stand and we're determined to fight against. So you have no official casting announcements, casting calls with fake character names on them, next to no behind the scenes footage released, 1 trailer and 1 TV spot all delayed until the last possible moment and no screeners for the first 4 episodes to critics as has been the norm. Not getting episode titles at this point shouldn't be that much of a shock. They're just generally locking everything down, regardless of its level of relative importance or spoilery nature.

I don't know, episode titles can be very spoilery for book readers. The Rains of Castamere, anyone?
I just want to see if I was right on any of my guesses.

Do they really need to care about spoiling readers on things we already read about and knew were in? I doubt there's gonna be an ep The One Where You Learn How Jon Comes Back or something actually spoilery.
