EDIT: Makes sense how they got Max von Sydow now. He's only going to be in one season. That's fitting. Greatness is short lived And I doubt Max would have agreed to do 3 seasons of a tv show at his age. That was just our assumption that the cave would be Bran's final destination, but clearly it is not.

mm interesting. I think in the first photo that is definitely the cave, because the roots are coming down, and it looks exactly like the cave. In the second photo, the roots look like they are either submerged partially in fog or on a snowy ground. But the branches look an awful lot like this: but i think they'll be two scenes with bran and the NK so there could be two occasions.

Wasn't everyone's assumption, I didn't think it made much sense to settle Bran's fate in Act II, and there are way too many parallels between his chapters and Arya's and she's definitely leaving her creepy mentor.

I think the White Walkers are burning down Weirwood trees or Bloodraven's cave. I think the Children of the Forest set up that fire wall in hopes of stopping the White Walkers, but it doesn't work. Maybe the Night's King launches the attack because he locates Bran through his visions.

I always thought the notion of having Bran staying in that cave forever was depressingly boring. Dramatically, visually boring, visions or not. But I didn't think he'd leave this early. Well, I guess technically he spent 2 seasons there, but one is offscreen....

Yep, and the idea of being elevated to godhood is very unsatisfying if he doesn't even get to have a real life first. I also wondered what the caveforever crowd thought would happen to Meera and Hodor. Would Hodor just be trapped there being possessed by Bran with no one to stop it? It's just depressing from every angle.
And now I am no longer in the fringe minority on this.

There's going to be a fight between COTF and wights. Then NK will come out of nowhere and be scary as fuck. CONFIRMED. I hope all the COTF don't die though EDIT: Makes sense how they got Max von Sydow now. He's only going to be in one season. That sounds absolutely awesome. All aboard! Don't push, there is room for everybody!

Completely agree and now that I've had so many years to really think about it, that's probably one of the main reasons I (and others) chose to 'dislike' Bran's story... it seemingly ends at such a depressingly final point ... "You will never leave here but you will see everything" sort of prophecy from a man who's permanently jacked into the weirnet. Depressing! Bran deserves better then that no matter how powerful his inner sight becomes. Of all the Stark children who could have ruled Winterfell and been the "There must always be a Stark in Winterfell" I felt he was most suited to it.

That shot of the NK is fucking awesome. I love how he's becoming an actual character, I hope we hear him speak this season. It would be nice to get some backstory through Bran's visions. I think we wll get some good and meaty backstory for them this season. How cool would be to see a flashback to the Long Night, with White Walkers burning towns and villages? I could see one explaining the Night's King's origins too. And something to explain why they are awaken again.

And Jojen was kinda rude imo if he was bragging about the wolves coming again and didn't mean Bran would be one of them.

Holy hype, I'm starting to feel almost as hyped for Ice Maul as I am for SNOWBOWL now. Never before have I thought that I would get hype for Bran's storyline of all characters. Next thing I know I'll be looking forward to the Sand Snakes storyline.

But this is the most excited I've been for Bran's storyline EVER. I'm just glad it's actually going somewhere. Holy hype, I'm starting to feel almost as hyped for Ice Maul as I am for SNOWBOWL now.
