i'm not saying that this 100% confirms that melisandre is dying in season 6, but i think its MORE likely than not imo. i'm probably a little biased too because i dislike melisandre and would be fine with her dying, but the timing just isn't convincing me. none of the situations with lena make sense here imo, lena was never 8-9 months pregnant in the middle of filming of the show. i always considered melisandre dying to be a high possibility for TWOW anyways She is one of my favourite characters but I'm not opposed to her dying because of that. I imagine you're right about it being in TWOW material, I just think in the show that'll be in s7. Potentially even early on in that season too. My point is that this pregnancy is by no means disqualifying that she appears in s7 at all. I'm also not going to discount what I see as being setup because of other opinion's about the show's writing. Or read too deeply into the tea leaves of Sue's comments today. Those are my thoughts on Cersei. I think she'll die in TWoW but the show will keep her alive until mid-season 7.

D&D love her, the audience loves her*, the critics love her. I'm thinking she goes out as the climax of season 7. *they think she's an asshole but she's a great character and a fan favorite

Just a random thought, but I think season 6 could provide closure to what we could roughly call Act II of the story. I think of it this way....
Act I (Seasons 1-3): War of the Five Kings / Fall of the Starks / Rise of the Lannisters / Rise of Daenerys / Awakening of Magic. Biggest scene and climax = the Red Wedding, effectively the end of the war.
Act II (Seasons 4-6): Aftermath of the War / Gradual rise of the Stark children / Fall of the Lannisters / Crisis in Meereen / Religious upheaval. Biggest scene and climax = Probably Snowbowl.
So Season 6 could end with Bran, Sansa, Arya and Jon in positions of real power; the Lannister family in ruins (if Cersei and Jaime break up for good); the Meereen issue solved and the Faith Militant and R'hllor fronts clarified if not outright resolved. And then we're basically ready for the final stretch whatever that is!

I am guessing Jaime will be there, but I actually do want her to succeed. I have a special appreciation of Cersei and want her to have her moment. And I can just picture the scenes of the Red Keep burning down. LIT.

At this point the only reason I believe Mel will survive the season is the Arya prophecy. If it weren't for that.... I don't really think that prophecy means shit. Mel just said "We will meat again". I reckon they'll never meet again.

Watching that Dance of the Dragons special just got me 1000% more pumped for Daenerys's invasion.

Daenerys's conquest can't be too easy. It'll be a very game of thrones-y thing to have her get to Kings Landing only AFTER it burns down.

The only thing that worries me is that scene D&D have in S7's outline, which was originally planned in the Throne Room, but is now going to be a massive parade in the streets of King's Landing with 1000 extras.

Yeah, that is interesting. It could be anything though. Margaery's or Tommen's funeral comes to mind. I think they will be building up to a scene like the Red Keep burning with various scenes of like exterior Kings Landing and stuff. Like how they built up to the Walk of Shame with various other scenes of Cersei going up the steps, Cersei in the alleys with the High Sparrow, the Faith taking over the city, etc. I'm not sure if I'm making sense right now lol. Like, they'll foreshadow big events by featuring the setting more frequently.

I am thinking the big surprise S6 will some weird thing the Other-Walkers go and end on some creepy big note about the Others. Tho I can't see S7 and S8 being all Others stuff.

And I can just picture the scenes of the Red Keep burning down. LIT. It has been very foreshadowed in both the books and the show, so I'm sure it will happen in Season 7. When Dany's invasion comes, and after some kind of struggle (Queenbowl?), I think she will fulfiill her promise and will burn King's Landing and House Lannister to the ground rather than surrender.
