Before which he likely assumed she'd just died in battle or whatever. And of course Mel wouldn't correct that assumption. After this I imagine he'll need to held back from attacking her yet again.

TVLINE | At the end of last season, we saw that he knows what happened to Stannis and his family.
He’s found out. Without having to hear it, he’s found out. He’s seen a face that he’s never seen on this woman before. As soon as she walked in the gate, there was trouble.

TVLINE | Is there acknowledgement or discussion of those deaths this season?
Well, I mean, it has to be pursued. The reason being, dramatically the audience has been one step ahead of that because they’ve known…So I think it’s a given. It’s not something that the writers could drop. The audience would be in Mordor if it wasn’t. I’d get the s–t kicked out of me, so it has to be pursued at some stage. Where, when, and if it’s this season? It would be mean of me to spoil.

I do not know what’s happened to Shireen or Stannis. As an audience [member], you’re going to look at [Davos] and assume that he’s going to assume she was killed in the battle or whatever. So to return to your question, if I found out at the end of [Season] 5 or in the break that she’s responsible for it, there’s no f–king way I’m going to team up. So you have to figure out for yourself where that’s going to go as the season progresses.

Well this better means he strangles Mel like Stannis did one time but actually finishes the job.

Also Liam is just delightful - he is so gracious and smart but at the same time respectful of the fans and you can tell he takes an interest in the fans' response to promo materials and the show

I only just realized now that Carice had already worked with Miguel Sapochnik in that shitty movie Repo Men. :facepalm:

Which isn't that big an oversight, I guess but I still feel the need to :stupidme:

over it for not thinking of that over the past two years.

He's in the season at least until ep. 608. It's possible he dies, I guess, but I really don't see that shocking Javi too much.

Probably but it's possible she dropped it during the portions of the scene that played out offscreen. I think Davos will find something at that spot though.

I'm not especially wedded to the idea myself. But I saw it in the WOTW comments and it seemed semi-plausible. :shrug:

Either way I still see Mel living into s7. I imagine Arya will kill her.
