Lol preach! For me it's Arya. She's when I check the group chats lol. lol i love arya
but otherwise i cant bring myself to give a single fuck about anything mereen or sam or dorne related in regards to season 6. honestly i'm in denial that the sand snakes are even coming back Arya's scenes in S5 were actually really good. I thought the problem was that her arc was too spread out, which made it feel slower.

yawn @ everything in regards to sam I can't bring myself to care either. Too much earnestness for my taste. All I want to know is what he'll find out in Oldtown, that should be interesting.

I'm growing increasingly pumped about the White Walker storyline. Bran, Jon, Melisandre...oooh it's gonna be good.

Sam is awesome, don't care what all you haters say. He personifies Ned's "a man can only truly be brave when he's scared" line. And as much as I like Arya/Sandor, or Dany/Jorah, Jon/Sam is probably my favorite duo in the books and show. I'm really looking forward to his Reach storyline.

Randyll Tarly is such a massive douche. I wanted Brienne to stab him in AffC.

I agree, but best duo is still Cersei/Wine.

Randyll Tarly is such a massive douche. I wanted Brienne to stab him in AffC. He's actually my most hated character. Which in a story with people as vile as Ramsay, Craster, Gregor, Tywin, Kraznys, etc, is quite a feat. I just loath him so much. Probably because I have a soft spot for Sam I guess. I sincerely hope Randyll meets a gruesome end. And soon.

He's loyal, smart and funny in a nerdy way. Besides, I know there are a lot of people who dislike his relationship with Gilly, but I find it refreshing to have at least one relationship in this story that is not twisted, sicked, tormented or involving incest. I really hope they both survive the series.

Arya's arc in Season 5 was necessarily slow, thoughful, even philosophical, exploring themes like identity and the true nature of death. It was pretty uneventful right until the end, but I liked it and I really looking to its conclusion in Season 6, when Arya will be back to Westeros to cross some names in her list.

And that's exactly why I absolutely loved it.

For me, Sam's story so far has been both boring and interesting. I said about a month or so ago that I don't see Sam and Gilly appearing in more than 5 episodes in S6, but I think it will be a lot more exciting than we realize considering he's in a new location that hasn't been explored yet in the show and I'm intrigued to what he'll discover in Oldtown. However, we can tell which storyline I'm looking forward to the most just by my avatar and signature.

Has anyone listened to the s5 audio commentaries or watched the histories and lore vids? Thinking of starting tomorrow. Only the History and Lore videos, and they are fantastic. The Dance of Dragons featurette is incredible. Agree. The Dance of Dragons featurette is absolutely epic. The best History and Lore video they have ever done. If someone has not seen it yet, buy the Blu-Rays or at least run to watch it on youtube. NOW.

I kept saying "Can you fucking believe this guy?" and he's like "Yeah...I read them too." I honestly think I appreciated Sam more as an individual (I only liked his bond with Jon before) after seeing what a massive douchelord his father was "in person" so to speak.

I like Sam, because when you find out how horrible his father really was, you can't blame him for being scared of everything having never been given confidence when he was growing up. I'm scared for Sam seeing his father again with Gilly there. Its just going to be another failure to him. And Sam said him becoming a maester is the worst thing in his father's eyes. Fuck off Randyll why is he such an asshole.

And Sam said him becoming a maester is the worst thing in his father's eyes. They seem to have cut that angle from the show, though, with Sam volunteering for it. I'm sure there'll be plenty of other ways for Randyll to show he's the only contender for #1 Dad now that Tywin's dead.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of other ways for Randyll to show he's the only contender for #1 Dad now that Tywin's dead. it still might be an angle they'll explore on the show, the difference being that Sam was just brave enough to volunteer in becoming a maester.

Yeah, but that still means the horrifying wrapped in chains incident is gone. Randyll can still disapprove but I think it'd be more from being a generally hateful asshole than because maesters are his hot button issue.

i really hope they delve deeper. I mean Randyll isn't just an asshole, he was evil towards Sam. He even hinted to Sam that he was going to kill him in the woods if he didn't go to the Wall.
