I mean who else would the Boltons be fighting in the North, so I think a casual fan could figure it out if they slowed down the trailer and HBO also wants you to watch it more than once if that makes sense. They don't want to give everything away. Well, Littlefinger implied last season that he was going to take the Arryn army to remove the Boltons from power at Cersei's bidding. Yeah true and he's going to show up near the end of Snowbowl so I could see someone thinking it's his army.

ok everything is all sorted out if the children stabbing scene from the trailer is the ADWD epilogue, at what time do you guys think will it happen in the season? i'm hoping it doesn't happen at the end tbh If Cersei's Trial occurs in 608 and King's Landing ends up skipping 609, I could see it being in the finale.

I love it that the marketing guys just had to show off that army but can't show who is on the other side so it's kinda a disaster and people just go 'who the hell is fighting them/what are they shooting those arrows at?!' I mean who else would the Boltons be fighting in the North, so I think a casual fan could figure it out if they slowed down the trailer and HBO also wants you to watch it more than once if that makes sense. They don't want to give everything away. They showed a bunch of shots of them fighting wildlings. Which for the trailer's purposes is makes sense as the most they can give away. The rest of it, which northmen are siding with who and so forth, is all spoiler territory so it makes sense to be vague about it all.

My guess for this shot btw is that it's just Edd closing Jon's corpse's eyes. I've seen people guessing on ASOIAF reddit and whatnot that the hand on the face means something to do with the resurrection but that's plainly not Mel's hand and it looks like he's wearing NW leathers, so it's not Davos either.
And Jon died with his eyes open so it makes sense that Edd would do that.

Why was it called Red Band Trailer? What does that mean? It means it has some R rated content, I think. Gore or sex et AHHHHHHHHHHH I never knew that. We don't use R rating in my country. Don't laugh but I just thought since a kid that the R meant Rude

Yeah I mean if we're talking about what the trailer didn't include, The Riverlands is definitely the biggest omission. Although we also didn't see Sam, Gilly, Olenna, Kevan, Loras, Qyburn, Jaqen, Doran, Randyll, Rickon, Missandei, Osha, Hodor... so there's still a lot of shit that we have yet to see. Yeah, some pretty big events like the Siege of Riverrun were entirely omited. I was hoping to see Randyll, Osha and Ian McShane's priest, but I can't complain, the trailer was so good... By the way, do you think we'll get another trailer or this one will be the only one this year?

At the very least we'll get TV spots with new footage in them running on a few different channels.

I just can't with that thread "Why doesn't Dany just run?" The Larry & Carol bs I made it about 3 post's, not wasting anymore time than that. 3 post's? You clearly have a better stomach than me. I couldn't read beyond the first post. Some of the guys who post in the Rant and Rave thread make 30-40 posts everyday there. Who in his right mind would spend all day in a forum talking obsessively about a show he hates?

can we talk about how funny it is that there was no dorne in the trailer or the released images? casual fans are probably gonna think there's no Dorne in season 6 and then get disappointed when they see sand snakes during the season

Tbh, my love for Davos has solely to do with Liam and how he plays him. I found the character a bit boring in the books. Me too. Davos in the books was a likeable character but almost all of his chapters were very boring for me, even his Blackwater and his White Harbor chapters. In the show, Davos is one of my favorites, and 90% is because of Liam. His face in "Mother's Mercy" when he learned that Shireen had died was truly heartbreaking.

They are well aware of the poor reception given to that storyline. I'm just hoping to see more Doran and somehow see him deliver some form of his "Vengeance, Justice, Fire and Blood" speech. It's the only outstanding moment for Dorne in the books (IMHO) and should be in the show. And for the Sand Snakes, let's hope they just give them the "Poochie" treatment:

I had a reply posted before you rescinded this. I've deleted it now though.

I had a reply posted before you rescinded this. I've deleted it now though. For some reason I got RL and WF mixed up again. If Melisandre decides to travel south after BoB I'd be scared.

Unless.... the High Sparrow eludes Frankengregor's wrath and Tommen becomes his ally as suggested by the episode 6 spoilers. So in that case Cersei will have no choice but to have a trial. (Although the result would be extremely obvious to anyone).

It's visible in this shot that there are now Faith Militant in the Red Keep (they're behind his KG) as per Tommen and Marge's deal with the High Sparrow.
Also I'm fairly sure that this scene
is also within the Red Keep. So it could be that they come to bring her to trial post ep. 606 and THEN Gregor fucks them up.
