What are your favorite houses? Why do you like them? Are there some houses you really hate? Why do you hate them?
I created this in the book area, so we have more options!
I'll start with my favorites
House Baratheon Ours is the Fury - full of great warriors. They have an amazing history and probably my favorite stronghold. Strong and fierce (except Renly).
House Manderly - the lord of the house Wyman is a top bloke, fiercely loyal, witty and hilarious. Wylla, also fiercely loyal and extremely brave. Members of this house seem to know how to give a speech. The North Remembers.. and Frey pies of course.
House Tully Family, Duty, Honor - Full of great, unselfish and kind people. Fantastic house words and the first lord to actually care about his smallfolk. Also how can you hate Blackfish? He has the basic Tully qualities and on top of that he's a warrior.
My least favorite ones:
House Frey - massive pricks. There are too many of them and they're all pretty worthless. They also have the worst lord, Walder Frey is a craven and perhaps even stupid. The Red wedding will have consequences in the long run. Their coat of arms is boring and their castle is small. Nothing good has ever come from this house.
House Targaryen - Fire and Blood Dragonmasters, slavers and conquerors who love incest and excessive cruelty. The house had some cool people, but most of them are horrible people as well. Yeah yeah, gods flip a coin blah blah. The fact that most of them were very arrogant and/or mad makes it worse. If I have to choose between the Targaryens and the Blackfyres. I'll choose the latter.

House Lannister. Because of: Tyrion, Tywin, Kevan, Jaime. Even Cersei. And their backstory. Hear me roar!  Says it all. They may be a dysfunctional bunch of lions - but they are lions. In their own right and way. |

Although I found Big and Little Walder quite interesting - especially in ADwD. |

House Tagaryen
Magic, dragons, fire and blood. A minor Valyrian house who survived the Doom of Valyria and went on to become one of the great houses of Westeros. Lead by prophetic dreams they fleeted to Dragonstone where they lived in relative quite. Aegon the Conqueror helped the free cities fight Volantis and then went on to conqueror and unite Westeros. Most of their kings were great or average, with a few not so great and terrible kings in between. Great history, great family. Love them!

House Stark - they may make stupid choices, but I love them. They have good, interesting characters.
House Manderly - because fuck yeah, House Manderly!
House Baratheon - Mainly for Stannis
House Tully - Because I always loved Catelyn's family values.
House Martell - because Dorne lets women be heirs.
House Lannister - Because they're interesting.
One of my least favorite houses, despite liking a lot of the characters is Targaryen. Reading the short stories made me realize how batshit and ridiculous some of them are. But they're never boring, I suppose. I don't hate them.
House Greyjoy is the worst.

One of my least favorite houses, despite liking a lot of the characters is Targaryen. Reading the short stories made me realize how batshit and ridiculous some of them are. But they're never boring, I suppose. I don't hate them. House Greyjoy is the worst. Agree 100% with the Targaryen part. I completely forgot about the Greyoy's. Barbaric and even idiotic at times. The only smart one is Euron, but he's horrible. The only nice person seems to be Asha and I'm not even sure I believe that. |

Dorne isn't very exciting, but at least Doran, Areo, Arianne, etc are more interesting as characters than the Greyjoy nuncles. |

Tarth
Dany is my favorite character and I do think some of her ancestors are really interesting but I don't think I could call Targaryen one of my favorites, although their sigil is badass. I also really like Asha and Theon but the Greyjoys suck. Fuck the Lannisters, Boltons, and Freys.

Cat and Lysa are both idiots, Edmure is just bland and boring and Hoster's entire role in the story is to die slowly.
