I hate that the buckles on the front of her dress were fish, though. What does a Stark supporter have to do to get some direwolves? OMG what if that was Cat's wedding dress? Why, why, why did you have to write that?

Does anyone else find Jaime and Bronn (especially Bronn) quite hilarious in their dornish costumes? Looks like something's amiss. Kind of remind me of this: When worn by dornishmen those costumes somehow give a different impression. Yes. I thought it was really silly. Took me out of the scene tbh. It felt like some kind of comedy show, not GoT.

OMG what if that was Cat's wedding dress? They look like one Bran had in season 1 Oh. Wow. Um. I wonder how many will never catch that little easter egg of sadness? I honestly didn't know what they were and meant to go back and magnify one of the stills to get a better look because while watching I remember wanting to know what they were. They definitely weren't dire wolves. It makes sense her dress could be her Mother's since that's a time honored tradition in our culture from way back when as well and would add the sentimental touch for certain. It also makes sense from a practical standpoint as she most likely would not have had time to sew her own dress as quickly as they pressed forward with the wedding. Sooo sad.

That's not really a costume from the show is it? Her hair is dark and that's an obviously oriental dragon. Nice shot though.

Oh, I just love the Stannis outfit. It suits his character so well. The only decoration on his armour is his sigil. It seems like all his soldiers are trying to copy his style. That and the platemail looks really cool IMO. I always liked the Lannister outfits as well. Their helmets are really well designed. I like the themed regional armors. Best single outfit, IMO goes to Sansa in her gothic black dress. I really thought she was onto something at that point...

And yeah, I also thought about the virgin queen when I watched the wedding scene. She looked so gorgeous. And a nice contrast to Theon's outfit. Like a pall or something. His costume I mean.

Now we have been discussing the best and the most beautiful costumes of the show. How about the less successfull ones? I think the "collar dress" which Margaery wore in season 2 might be the most controversial costume in the show. What do you think of it? It looks quite peculiar but didn't bother me. It's fun that they are trying different things and not just making everything as pretty and eye-pleasing as possible. This seems to be quite common reaction to it:

ottana I personally loved this dress just because it was outside the box. It made Margaery look very regal, so I prefer it to the more girly-ish dresses she normally wears.

I would have liked it a lot more if the seam was neat and not so messy.

I like the fact that they took a risk and tried something new, but I prefer the dresses she wore in later seasons.

One neat little detail that I think 99.9999% of people would overlook (and indeed is not one I would have noticed had Emilia not pointed it out), but Dany has had the same ring since 1x01 It belonged to her mother: And as of 5x07, she still has it: I think it's a pretty hideous ring, but it's a lovely touch.

@fireandblood That's a nice touch given the fact that we talk about her crazy father mostly. And how stunning is this cape dress? Must be my favourite Dany robe ever!

I'm not so keen on the cape dress. It feels like a second-rate version of Goop's iconic 2012 look:
