Though Euron calls himself "godless" (I think) so I don't know. And Bran is probably going to be the primary spokesperson for the weirwoods.

Yeah that's true he calls himself "godless", but I meant more in terms of conflict since he'll at least be facing one of those factions, most likely Dany at first. Yeah Bran would probably represent the Old Gods then.

Agreed. I think is possible to change faces without using an actual face, and maybe Arya will learn to do it before she leaves Braavos, but IMO it would feel rushed. Something that only happens because is necessary to advance her plot. One of the gripes I'll always have with the show is that they delayed Arya's training in THOBAW too much (she should have left for Braavos in the middle of season 4, she did nothing during that whole season) and then they barely scratched the surface of what she is learning. George really muddies that up in the book. Jaqen appears , more magically , to change his similar to what is in the show. When Arya has it done the first time it seems like surgery , yet , has the odd twist that to Arya's tactile senses she discovers she has not changed! Then they seemingly change her back with ease. To be honest, I've always thought that the FM didn't literally cut out Arya's face, unlike a lot of people in the fandom. IMO the cuts the KM made were part of some blood magic ritual that allows Arya to wear someone else's face, but her actual face is still underneath. When the books says things like "they gave her back Arya's face" I believe they are just taking the other face off. But I know I'm in the minority here. Agreed. I agree. i feel like her training in season 5 went really slow, i expected them to be teaching her things like she was learning in the book (poisons, about FM history, telling jaquen 3 things everyday) , and to have a successful mission. I do see why they couldn't have her there earlier, as its a whole new location and everything. But yes, it would've worked out better structure-wise this way. I can see why they wouldn't build a whole location for just half a season, but still, they could have send her away sooner. I'd rather see Arya off to Braavos in episode 5 and not see her again until next season, after she has started her training and has some new talents, than what we got. Bran wasn't at all in season 5 and, even though I know it pissed off his fans, I think it was the right choice. Better cut a character for a while than delaying a storyline with filler.

The issue I can see here is the fact that Arya is way more popular among TV fans than Bran. Cut her out of the show would have generated much more negative audience reactions.

Watchers on the Wall's staff have just posted an interesting article about the teasers. watchersonthewall.com/a-murder-of-crows-teasing-season-six/#comment-521678One of their writers (Geoffrey) summed up nicely my thoughts about the (disappointing) last teaser: "I think the worst thing about it for me was that, when the teaser leaked, I wasn’t able to watch it straightaway, but I was able to see everyone’s annoyed reactions to it! When I was finally able to watch it, I was disappointed, but I wasn’t especially surprised. HBO seems to be quite fond of these murky, grey, VO teasers with no new footage, where GOT is concerned. Maybe they think they’ll really whet everyone’s appetite for the new season, but they just irritate. Especially after seeing all the amazing new photos, I was ready for some proper footage. It was nicely done and atmospheric, but this close to the new season, I was hoping for something more.
Besides, we all know the real reason they can’t show any new footage is because Jon Snow is in most of it…"

I'm still surprised though considering we got over 20 promo photos, but I think they're trying to hold off new footage for as long as they can.

The hall of faces is a very cool set, and having the faces of the characters there was a good idea for a teaser, which again, is not a trailer, and doesnt have to show any actual footage because thats what trailers do.

Not wanting to show Jon Snow isn't an excuse. There's about 37 other characters they could have shown. Even quick flashes at the Wall showing Mel or Davos would be fine.

I'm curious if anyone noticed that there might have been dragons flying in the sky in the KL teaser.
