this basically confirms Bran flashbacks in eps 1 or 2 and 5 or 6 i think Bran will see winterfell around the time of the rebellion. (the actress is not too young) Then 3ER will tell him to broaden his mind and we will see the TOJ in eps 5 or 6. I think the first vision in episode 1-2 will be introductory and then in 5-6 Old Nan appears again to reveal the infamous "Hodor's origin".

They don't want to have 2 reveals in one episode.

They don't want to have 2 reveals in one episode. There must be a reason why they need Nan to appear twice, though. In any case, maybe this points to Bran being absent from episodes 3 and 4. Wouldn't be too surprised if they keep most of the "big" Bran reveals for late in the season.

It could be eddard coming back with a child. Old nan would have looked after it. And then they might go to TOJ. or the other way around.

We should remember though that Sebastian Croft is quite young and he's playing Young Ned in one of the scenes with Young Hodor. And Eddie Eyre is our Rebellion-era Ned. It's possible she's Old Nan in both timelines and made to look younger or older for both though.

Yeah I think we'll first see Bran entering the weirwood net and maybe seeing Ned coming back to Winterfell with a child and delivering to Old Nan as Bec said or another vision with the Stark kids and feel like he is physically there because of the effect of greensight. After Bran attempts to speak to them, The Three Eyed Raven tells him “We watch, we listen, and we remember. The past is already written, the ink is dry." And I assume Bran will question the visions importance, why he can't interact with them if he learned this ability all this time he's been training, and the Three-Eyed Raven will assure him that it will crucial in the war to come. And then Bran starts to piece together the visions like a puzzle to determine their meaning, which could eventually prompt him to leave the cave depending on what he sees.

Do we think that this actress, who's listed as Old Lady, might be Old Nan in the later timeline? www.spotlight.com/interactive/cv/1/F7300.html

I also think they could use Bran's visions on a meta-level as well. You know, they could show us things that Bran doesn't understand, but the audience does because we have more knowledge about other storylines. It could also be a wonderful way of keeping all the storylines connected. I'm curious to see what they will do with it in the editing department.

Right now I'm only going to assume there're the flashbacks that casting calls have pointed to. That is, two scenes in WF with young Ned, Brandon and Hodor. And the ToJ. There're are probably more but I don't know how adequately I'd be able to guess about them.

Looking at the HBO schedule for Sunday they have Furious 7 starting at 6:40PM and ending at 8:57PM and Vinyl doesn't start until 9PM. Let's hope those 3 minutes in between are being used wisely.

My guess is this Bolton General is in quite a few scenes besides the Snowbowl, though that would've taken up the most of his shooting time, given how long they filmed it for. My guess is he'll be a background character that we see in a few Roose and Ramsay scenes, just to set him up as a familiar face among the Boltons. And hopefully then Davos or Tormund gets to kill him. As fir the Podeswa-directed WF flashback, I think it'll probably be in ep. 602. There's a precedent of course for Bran not being in the premiere episode and even if he is in 601, I think it would be for something like Theon seeing him through a weirwood...which incidentally would be a good moment to end the episode on imho. Then 602 could open with what he's up to specifically in his old tree-cave.

It would have been cool if they brought back Steelshanks from S3 to play one of the Bolton Generals during Snowbowl, but yeah I think we'll see this guy a few times throughout the season. Yeah I think after Sansa and Theon are chased through the Wolfswood by the Bolton scouts and Brienne saves them, they could find a weirwood tree where Theon hears Bran's voice and maybe we see a glimpse of Bran in the cave before the episode ends. Nikolaj even said at the SAG's that S6 would open with Jon dead at Castle Black, which would seem to point to that being the first scene in the premiere instead of a Bran flashback, so who knows.
