Rented Battlefront II from my local Redbox to play the campaign for $3. I'm about halfway done and I fucking love it.

FINISHED THE CAMPAIGN. Official rating: 8/10. Spoiler time: Pros:
-The graphics were absolutely amazing. Everything looked real.
-The story was terrific most of the way through, reading the book definitely helped but they did enough to flesh out Iden, Del, and Hask without it.
-THE FLYING LEVELS WERE THE BEST THINGS I'VE EVER DONE I WANT TO BE AN X-WING
-I was SO GLAD I got to play as Luke, Leia, Han, and Lando each for a mission. The Luke one was especially great and very important to Del's growth and I'm glad they tied it into the end and revealed how Luke found himself at Ahch-to.
Cons:
-The end of the Battle of Jakku level was the most difficult and tedious thing I have ever done. I don't play many games so I kinda suck, but fucking christ hitting the TIE Interceptor was fucking impossible.
-ACTUAL MAJOR SPOILER: That tedious fight with Hask felt so worthless after seeing him come back at the end. Like come on.
-The final mission with Kylo was a bit unnecessary and it felt like it gave more questions than answers, which I don't really like at the end of a long campaign (like wtf no closure for Iden??? I guess it means she could come back, but I wanted her to have an ending after playing as her for the whole game), but it was amazing to see exactly how Kylo navigates a mind with the Force. Also Scarif was pretty dope.
Side note: I came out of this with a feeling that there could be a 0.1% chance that Rey's parents are Del and Iden. |

lordcarson I've been seeing a lot of people jump on that theory for Rey's parents since the game came out. I'm hoping for Palpatine descendant. That's my favorite theory so far.

Booked tickets to Last Jedi for 12/22. Not reading any reviews and trying to avoid stuff until then.

I was originally going to see it on the 14th, but something came up so now I have to settle for the 16th  I'm especially annoyed because I saw TFA on the second night it was out, but got Han's death spoiled beforehand. I'd already guessed that from how happy Harrison Ford was in the marketing, but I can't guess anything for TLJ so I'll just have to go dark for all of Thursday and Friday. |
