One of my favourite things about the ASoIaF-Fandom is the enormous amount of incredibly beautiful fanart, so I thought, maybe this board needs a place where we can all share the awesome works of art we come across. This thread is not for posting memes or funny images (we already have a thread for that), it's about sharing fan made artwork of characters and scenes from the books and/or the show. (I hope we don't have such a thread already. I tried the 'Search' function, but it didn't come up with anything ... ) --- I'll start with a picture of my personal favourite character in this entire series: In my mind, this is the perfect representation of Catelyn. Michelle Fairley, only slightly younger, with a real down-to-earth quality to her.

I love this, because Jon, Sansa, Bran, Arya and Rickon hugging Robb kills me.

OHHH I looove the variety of Arya art. So many artists with interesting ways to depict her. That last one actually looks a bit like I imagined Lyanna looking and since they say Arya favors her, maybe that's more of her adult look. That could be Jon's Mom!

Agreed, the last one is really close to how I pictured Lyanna and Arya, who is supposed to be like a clone of her aunt. ETA: one more Stark children fan-art, and I promise I stop for today

More morbid stuff ... I love this, but I think it also does an excellent job of highlighting Rickon's irrelevance. He's just standing there, while everyone else has either injuries, clothes, weapons, ropes etc which are symbolic of their character/arc. I really hope "Shaggydog" is just GRRM being super-unsubtle and that Rickon's sole purpose for existing isn't because he didn't want either of Bran/Sansa/Arya leading House Stark after all is said and done. /mini-rant OHHH I looove the variety of Arya art. ETA: one more Stark children fan-art, and I promise I stop for today I adore this so much! But again they clearly had no idea wtf to do with Rickon Everyone interprets art differently. This is how I see Rickon in both of those: 1. In the first one, he's the sad little orphan in tattered clothing. Abandoned and forgotten. Everyone else got their big defining moment and he's just lost somewhere. That doesn't mean he won't come back later - older, meaner and more powerful! Sometimes it's the one you least expect. 2. In the second one, he's represented by the heart tree because of all the Starks, he will probably be the most "Northerner" like and adhering strongly to the Old Gods. He's being raised by some pretty wild people right now and if he survives, I expect him to be more like a wildling leader than those south of the wall and it's fitting at least one of the Starks return to his roots. Get it... roots?!
