I thought it was a great season, with the only real misstep being Dorne, which doesn't damage the season too much due to being of limited screen time.

I can't be bothered to go back and look up all my ratings... I'll do seasons instead; 1>3>5>4>2 I would rank the seasons this way, too, but to rate Season 5 by itself, on a 10 point scale, I think I would rate it a 9, even though if I averaged my individual ratings per episode, it would come out a bit below this. Sometimes I think I just have to get the whole picture and the benefit of hindsight before I can really make an assessment that just 'feels' right. |

I haven't decided yet if s5 beats s4 as my favourite season but it definitely beats s1, s3 and s2, which is the order of the rest of my list.
I really loved it. Jon, Cersei, Stannis and Sansa's arcs in particular.

Jon, Cersei, Stannis and Sansa's arcs in particular. I just rewatched the Stannis and Jon scenes and man do they hit the mark. So tragic and sad. |
