Dear lord...how some people never grow up and still function in this world is beyond me.
There's a reason I never bought their book.

I was a n00b at Westeros.org. Anyone care to share the story of them/GRRM/D&D? Is not really a story. Linda and Elio were big fans of Asoiaf since the very beginning, they created Westeros.org, got in contact with GRRM, became friends and when GOT exploded they also received some of the attention as "asoiaf experts" and friends of George. They had talked about the show in some official after-episodes and Linda did the swedish subtitles for GOT during the first couple of seasons at least. Meanwhile D&D, also Asoiaf fans, talked to GRRM about making a show and they managed to pull it off, the problem is that Linda is not happy with the changes the show has made. She wants GOT to be exactly like the books even if that means an early cancellation. She is also angry because, in her opinion, the show has no right to end before GRRM publishes the last book, but she can't do anything about it, so she rants.

George seems to use them as resources because he's created a fictional world so dense, that he forgets half the time about all the details. He has these supernerds who always have the answers about a minor character's eye color, saves him having to look it up.

And yet GRRM hasn't told them to zip their lips? It's one thing to feel the way they feel - it's another thing to use the language they do, and say the things they do in public forums and social media when they are int he public eye.

Anybody else feel that the Dorne stuff was a massive waste of time, especially if we're not getting some kind of rebellion here? I kind of think the Greyjoy stuff was more interesting, now to think of it.

I finally made my Top 3 list of Sand Snakes 1. Nym (She's the only one I truly like and the only one, who seems to intelligent at all) 2. Obara (Girl, stop putting your name ahead everything you say and I'd probably like you) 3. Tyene (I've never been so annoyed by a certain character. I used to loathe Lancel and Pycelle, but she's in the top spot now) [br Hmmmm....Obara is easily the worst.

Yeah Obara has shown a total lack of personality besides her grumpy faces Nym was well acted indeed. As for Tyene, I like her... because reasons. Two main reasons (sorry for the male moment, ladies)

Ya'll thought I was crazy, but I knew Hizdahr wasn't the Harpy. From his introduction last year, Hizdahr represented the humanity and rationale of Meereen's upper class. He was a three dimensional character that wants peace. If he was the Harpy, Meereen as a whole just becomes a 2 dimensional cartoon haven of slaver villains. That would have been poor writing.

I think the finale will give Dorne some direction as they haven't closed it off yet. Doran didn't just release Myrcella and send Trystane to the capital to be on the small council for no reason.

It's nice seeing a beautiful new location after 5 years and it's going to serve multiple character/storyline arcs moving forward. Win in my book.

Prince Doran might have a plan for revenge, but the scenes last night were very underwhelming. It's par for the course with Dorne this season IMO. I'm a pretty big supporter of D&D, but it's hard for me to think the Dorne storyline had more merit and was more intriguing than the Ironborn (Yara, Aeron, Euron and Victarion). I guess we'll see what happens next week and next season.
