Nice I really loved the middle of this season. I think episodes 5-7 were all pretty damn great and the red dragon arc is off to a promising start
Lollll at that censor

As good as Armitage already is I have to say Anderson is MVP so far. He really nailed Verger, Pitt's performance was such an embarrassment to witness in season 2

Maybe I just don't like the character? I haven't seen Gary Oldman's Verger in Ridley Scott's Hannibal but apparently what Anderson's doing is intentionally very similar to that (Bryan Fuller really likes that movie).

Yeah Anderson is closer to Oldman than Pitt was....Pitt played the part as if he just saw TDK, got high and decided to copy Ledger. Oldman is great in Hannibal but his make up in that is the single most disgusting and terrifying thing I've ever seen in a movie

That's one of the reasons I've never watched the movie.

I remember watching this in in my house with a friend and when I went to the bathroom he paused it on his face close up I almost shat myself when I came back The film is better than people say, though

"I love a good finger-wagging." "Yes you do...how is Margot?" Oh Mads. I should record my Mads impression and link it here somehow. Might be good for a laugh.

I'm just rewatching Red Dragon now and jeez is this latest episode similar to it in a lot of ways. I guess both are pretty close the source material? But yeah, there're a ton of line-for-line similarities I'm now noticing.

That makes it even more tragic.

I am totally astounded by what I just watched. Really not quite sure how to register it. I won't spoilt it in here in case anyone stumbles across this thread before seeing it but, just wow.

I only got around to watching it now and I definitely would not mind that being the last episode of the show. It fit well. A very enjoyable show all around. It was more consistent in s1, I think, as a freaky procedural and more hit and miss later when it became increasingly about the Will-Hannibal dynamic. But the highs it reached in s2 and s3 were higher than those of s1, so it all evens out to me.
But how the fuck it aired on NBC for THREE SEASONS I'll never understand!
