It's odd that there aren't any good characters on that list. Manderly should be there. And Coldhands! And All-For-Joffrey.

Reminds me of all the angst over at Westeros year after year when the show failed to cast the Tyrell brothers and I was left scratching my head wondering if they had even appeared in the books yet. If somebody unfamiliar with the series stumbled onto those forums they'd have to assume that the most important characters in the books are Garlan, Willas, and Val.

At least Garlan and Willas will have something to do in the next books according to Martin. Val is just a bigheaded fantasy princess too me, sorry.

I just find it amusing to see folks parade their crackpot theories and/or fanfic romances as to why D&D are misguided hacks for not including a character that may or may not have appeared in a couple of chapters.

I looked around and didn't see this posted elsewhere, so forgive me if it's always been discussed. GRRM sat down with Hibberd to talk about five characters from his books he wished were on the show: 1) Strong Belwas 2) Jeyne Poole 3) Willas Tyrell 4) Garlan Tyrell 5) Lady Stoneheart I'm surprised he didn't pick Wyman Manderly. Maybe he didn't mention Wyman because he's going to be on the show? GET HYPE
