Hans Zimmer - Solomon in chains I like Hans Zimmer, but found his score for 12YAS kind of uninspired. It felt kind of derivative of his work in The Thin Red Line/Inception. |

That version of "The Rains of Castamere" is one of the most beautiful versions ever. And I liked their cameo on the show. Gosh. The guys who did the dubbing also did dub that.... talk about things that are unnerving and unneccesary....  |

Hans Zimmer - Solomon in chains I like Hans Zimmer, but found his score for 12YAS kind of uninspired. It felt kind of derivative of his work in The Thin Red Line/Inception. Yeah, the track "Time" from Inception has been adapted and used over over and over again. It's getting boring. "Lost and won" is which score though?
I watched "Gladiator" in the cinema. And when I listened to "Barbarian Horde" I was reminded of Gustav Holst ("The planets" -> Mars, the Bringer of War). When I read the inlay to the "Gladiator" score I found out that Holst had been one of Hans' inspirations for that track.
