Tyrion and Dany omg. Aemon was perfect and extra points for " Egg, I dreamt I was old." I didn't even hate the Sand Snakes this time. 9/10 I admit to tearing up a bit. May he be taken to his final destination on dragon wings. "He was the blood of the dragon, and now his fire's gone out" Great episode! 9/10

Gave it an 8, but probably I was too harsh on the Sam getting beaten up scene, and the Sand Snakes one. It was an excellent episode. Aemon's death was so touching. Sansa's scenes were good, Cersei's were excellent.

Absolutely fantastic stuff. Best episode of the season.
+ The fighting pit scenes were good, feeled like the film Gladiator + Sansa's lines about Ramsay being a bastard.. and being legitimized by a bastard, good stuff + Scene with Tyrion and Dany + Teasing us with the candle. They even had Brienne for a couple of seconds. I thought he was actually going to do it. I guessed the flaying part. + Aemon's "Egg" stuff, wow just.. wow + Stannis not obeying Melisandre, hope he stays stubborn. "No burnings, pray harder" + King's Landing was solid this time (High Sparrow, Cersei, Margaery, Olenna, LF) + Looks like we'll get the entire Dornishman's wife by Bronn this season. Hope they include it in the soundtrack.
- Episode was named "The Gift", but it had no Arya in it - Sansa is transformed into Jeyne Poole, locked in the room and raped at nights, seeing her in this condition is quite horrible. - a bit too heavy foreshadowing for FTW. The NW reeks with treachery - Sam's and Gilly's sex scene was awkward as fuck - Yes, yes, yes Tyene is hot and she has the best breasts on the show but the scene still felt a bit queer and stiff
This was just a quick rating, there was plenty of good stuff.
9½

Aemon's death came a little quickly his hallucinations were a bit jarring. They gave him his line though at least they gave him that. i didn't think it would be the last thing he said. i would've preferred some things about Dany rather than him saying 'Egg' about ten times. Why the heck didn't Jon bring Ghost with him? I'm getting sick of Batman being in King's Landing and seeming to know a way out of everything and all the other characters being useless. Tommen claiming he is the King and can't do anything....uh yeh you can reverse the law on arming the faith militant. They should've kept him as a child and framed Margery for adultery instead. LF's 'a handsome boy' gave me hope for kettleblack but nope Why was Tyrion freed, i don't get it and his meeting Dany was overshadowed a bit by the emotion between Jorah and Dany. We finally saw Yezzan lol Lame attempt to inject boobs into the episode. Tyene should've let Bronn die i think it was out of character to let him live unless she is going to try and use him. I'm not sure there is even time for that. At least we finally got the sandsnakes acting like sandsnakes. Everything else was great, i thoroughly enjoyed it. Best episode i would say so far because we really got the sense of things building up. Extra points for all the snow in the north. 9/10

I give it a 9. This was great, surpassed High Sparrow and all, but it can easily get better. +Aemon (nearly teared up, but I managed to hold it in ) +Winterfell (all of it) +Stannis (loved his protectiveness) +The auction (I enjoyed it, even if Yezzan was pointless and they could have simply stuck with Malko) +Jorah's fighting and facial expressions +Tyrion meeting Dany (even if it seemed like he was addressing everyone around her as well) +Bronn finishing the song +All of King's Landing, especially Jonathan Pryce -The lack of any subtlety with Olly (other than stabbing him, is there anything more treacherous than glaring menacingly across the yard? Sure, Thorne did it but he's been doing it for ages) -The cell scene was still a bit cheesy but my GOD

9. Probably the best this series, one of the best ever. Loved it. So much conflict and hard choices. If only for that 'antidote', which couldnt possible work as the nosebleed clearly means the poison has set in, but what ever... A solid episode.

9. + Egg, I dreamed that I was old + Stannis telling Mel to fuck off, hoping we get the "Pray harder" in episode 9 + Alfie Allen + Sansa's and Ramsay's talk about bastards + Jon Pryce + Finally Ghost + The slave auction block + YEZZAN ZO QAGGAZ!!! + Malko telling that Jorah fought with a flaming sword, killed Drogo and other exaggerating + The fighting pits scene reminded me from Gladiator + High Sparrow and Cersei + Tyene's breasts (her acting is still crap) + Tormund swag - Why no Roose??? - Why no Doran??? - Ghost didn't go with Jon, damn, there have been dragons almost in every episode, but Ghost doesn't appear at all. I wanted to see him at Hardhome - Sam and Gilly's sex scene was so awkward, but at least it was from the books - Myrcella's teen angst crap - Why did that guy free Tyrion? - Sand Snakes boasting with their fighting skills, come on: All I have to say to that is this: i.imgur.com/UPcmC7b.gif- Apart from Tyene's breasts and Bronn's singing the whole scene was pointless and boring - Tyene is a cunt - Why bother casting Yezzan, unless he does something later on - No Roose I'm expecting Hardhome to get a 10.

I gave it a 7, I did not love it like everyone else did (ducking tomatoes). It seems weird that I am grading this one a 7 which I also did for last week and I liked last week's episode better (minus the Winterfell plot). Life is weird,I guess. Pros: Kings Landing...great performances by Diana Rigg, Jonathan Pryce and Lena Headley. Giving Natalie Dormer stuff to do that is worth her talents. Loved seeing Oleanna being taken down a peg. Meeren: Emilia Clarke actually showing the emotion she should have shown when Dany first dimissed Jorah from her service. Tyrion meeting Dany. I wish Emilia was more consistent with her acting. The Wall: The death of Master Aemon, the mentions of Dunk and Egg. Go South Gillyflower. Sam's eulogy. Winterfell: Sansa telling Ramsey that his status is in jeopardy due to Walda's baby and Tommen being a bastard too. One of my friends calls Ramsey Evil Frodo and now that is his name in my head. He looks more like a hobbit especially when he has to stand next to Sophie Turner. Sansa not being beat down and still conjuring up ways to get out. The North: Stannis telling Melisandre to GTFO and he is not burning his daughter. No Roose Bolton. Ramsey is bad enough. Alister Throne's threat to Sam. He and Gilly are going South. I think Sam might abandon his vows on the show. Cons: A complete waste of time for Gwendoline Christie and Nikolaj Coster Waldau. They are too good of actors being wasted one or two lines an episode. Dorne, Bronn being rendered stupid by boobs and vadge. Complete waste of Sand Snakes as well. The antedote. Myrcella telling Jaime she's staying in Dorne. Glad the writers thought this plot was better than Arianne and Jaime in the Riverlands...not. Winterfell is still not my favorite plot. Having Sansa suddenly trust Theon thinking she can reach him through now their mutual bond over being traumatized by Ramsey. If you want something done right, Sansa, you got to do it yourself. Gilly almost being raped. Sam's amazing recovery after some severe hits to the head. Tommen's acting Evil Frodo still lives No Arya
Neutral: Jon's departure. Not enough screen time to judge that.

Forgot to add as a pro: GHOST!!! And no dragons. Which is probably why we saw Ghost. More Ghost and less dragons please. Forgot to add as a con: The usurper Robb Stark, the usurper Joffrey Baratheon...remember the other name you mentioned Melisandre. The writers sure don't. You can definitely see that some of the plot ideas they had in season 3 were abandoned: Balon, the Brotherhood without Banners...

I rewatched the episode. I still think the Sand Snake scene was pointless. Dornishmen like to be confident in their sexuality? We knew that. Dornishmen use poison? We knew that also. Bronn has a weak spot in women? What a surprise. I'd had rather seen Doran or a longer and deeper conversation between Myrcella and Jamie, since they both become alienated to Cersei.
So it is stil 9/10 for me.

Excellent episode, I think I liked almost every single scene - except another (IMO unnecessary) almost rape, this time with Gilly; and that it's now confirmed for me that Shireen and/or Stannis are dead meat this season - but besides this, quite phenomenal! It would be too many things to list that I liked (and I can't remember all atm), but my Top 5 of the things that I loved the most include Ramsay's face everytime Sansa said "bastard" (just look at the fifth pic here: littlesati.tumblr.com/post/119851629713/isnt-your-stepmother-pregnant); Cersei's wandering eyes (http://abload.de/img/cercei2pfoxr.gif) and her fire when she got arrested; "Egg, I dreamed that I was old" and generally Aemon's last moments ; everything with Pryce/the HS (and I'll admit I had to chuckle when he said "For me, it's the knees, you?", Olenna: "Hips" XD); the slaver's exaggerated bastardization of the things Jorah achieved + Jorah later going full Gladiator and Tyrion/Dany/Jorah meeting. - 9 points for me.

I gave it a 10 after a rewatch. I liked every scene. Gilly is constantly in danger at Castle Black, and they needed a good reason for him to leave for Oldtown in the book, Jon takes her baby, so Gilly was due for som trauma. The scene of Tyene and Bronn was silly and campy, but this show needed a light hearted moment.

After a rewatch, I would give it a 10 but I want it (or rather hope for it) to be seen that the final episodes are the best, so I'll save the 10 for those, hopefully. The Sand Snakes ... were less annoying this episode than in the others, I found.
