This isn't the right thread for it but, while y'all are venting, I'll report that I just ventured into the Doom of Valyria (AFOIAF) and saw that on the "ranting and raving" thread Le Cygne and Modesty Lannister are discussing, as if it were a sensible interpretation of things, that David Benioff is jealous of NCW's good looks and thus purposefully makes Jaime a greyer character than in the books...for some reason...
I mean, WHAT THE FUCK! I'm so glad I left that goddamn site!  The posters there have seriously gone off the deep end. Lol, this is hilarious because Benioff is (IMO at least) just as doable as NCW. |

yes, Benioff is quite handsome.
Le Cygne always struck me as unstable. And she thinks the Walking Dead is better than GoT (sorry WD fans)

I know that every time HBO airs an interview with Benioff why mum asks "Who's HE....?" Poor Weiss never gets that same reaction. But I doubt she'd say Benioff's as good-looking as NCW. She's pretty much in love with NCW. |

FTW. I do have doubts though, because it won't break the bookwalkers. So I wonder if they'll kill Stannis and thus do a double shock to the system. That WOULD break a bit the net since book readers all know that Jon resurrects but know nothing about Stannis being killed now. I do have to say that killing Stannis when Dillane simply kills it with every damn scene he has, is a damn shame! The man is a freaking scene stealer. His character should be allowed to live just because he's an asset like no other to the show!I think it is time to freak out. I'll just let myself out. /rant over if he dies this season I have no one on the show to lust over  Uncledaddy Jaime? Ian Neckbeard? Jon Snew? I'm even starting to lust after Tyrion. I think I must be easier than you. |

I agree with sati there's almost zero information of any quality happening in the show forums over there anymore. In fact it seems there's a huge influx of fans who know absolutely nothing about the books or themes or plots while claiming to be book readers. It's frustrating how wrong they are post after post but you can't get sucked into that mess so I just close out the browser when I see rantings (that are basically incorrect factually) go on for page after page. 2. I am a Walking Dead fan, no need to apologize - I love them both for much different reasons. I love GoT because I've been reading the gdamn books for over 15 years and am a fantasy fan at heart, but I love Walking Dead for it's amazing ability to draw you into a world you didn't think possible or likable in any way with characters you end up feeling very strongly about. I didn't watch it the first two seasons - I thought I was way above "zombie horror" but man it's just so damn good and I love me some post-apocalypse stories (Fallout fanatic) - I'd go so far as to say they've done a slightly better job at character portrayals than GoT has recently. I'm actually not a comic book reader of The Walking Dead so I'm "unsullied" in that regards and maybe a bit biased because I don't have that background to critique it. |
