I def think GRRM should have maybe handed off Arys Oakheart to someone else.....just because of the quick confusion with so many new POVs at that time. Add up all the new POVs in AFFC and it's confusing at first. Especially of people we hardly knew. Arys naivete was interesting...but if it wasn't going to last, maybe he shouldn't have had the POV? That would have cut down the number of POVs in Dorne to two and might have helped. |

Catelyn is by far my favorite POV character. I regularly re-read random Catelyn chapters, just because I love the character so much.
As for least favorite, this is gonna be controversial, but I really, really dislike Arya's and Tyrion's chapters beyond A Storm of Swords. I don't know what it is, but I have zero interest in Arya's storyline in Braavos and Tyrion's journey after his escape from King's Landing has been rather tedious, in my opinion.

I can't really choose a favorite but my top would include Dany, Jon, Tyrion, Arya and maybe a few others but I really need to reread the series.
Aeron is by far my least favorite.

My all time favourite is Reek. All time least favourite is Dany.

AGoT: Ned
ACoK: Tyrion
ASoS: Jaime
AFfC: Jaime
ADwD: Reek
Least favourites:
AGoT: Daenerys
ACoK: Daenerys
ASoS: Daenerys
AFfC: Arys Oakheart
ADwD: Quentyn
And by any means, I don't dislike any POV chapters, I love them all. They all add something to the story and it's world. I hate good lot of POV characters, including Cersei, Dany etc. But I never disliked someone's chapter. I dislike Cat, Sansa at times, Dany most of all, but I loved their chapters and story (Not Dany).

Least favourite would be Catelyn overall and Tyrion, because one just cannot forgive his constant self pity and "I am so smart boo woo baaa I am the best Lannister and Cersei is so stupid bomm baa boom."
He was my favourite at first, but this one just betrays the reader in a way when ADWD starts and when you reread his chapters.
edit: I add Theon to second favourite. Hope he stays for a very long time. Also one of these perfectly written povs of grrm.

He is becoming annoying, Daenerys looses control and Stannis has his black vest at the cleaners and having it whitened. Seriously, Stannis has so far the very best scene of the entire season, if not entire series. |

My favourite POVs are basically also my favourite characters (without Stannis since he's so POV character :/)

- Jaime
And I LOVE all Ironborn POVs, I simply love Asha as a character and reading about her visiting The Reader in AFFC and then being in Deepwood Motte and later with Stannis' host in ADWD was just wonderful, Vic's chapters are utterly hilarious for me, and Aeron had the awesome chapter about the Kingsmoot ("The Drowned Man").
But my most favourite of all time will always be Maester Cressen, in ACOK's Prologue :crying:
Least favourite... probably Bran.
