I do notice some of the earliest posts to this thread poo-pooed secret Targs, though, and we almost have one secret Targ confirmed! Also, why would George introduce a supposed secret Targ if he didn't want us looking for them? Huh? Huh?  |

I read somewhere that some believe Syrio Forel didn't actually die by Meryn Trant, was a Faceless Man so he took the place of Eddard; so Eddard is still out there somewhere, plotting his revenge. This was done as they expected Eddard to be sent to the Wall, Syrio could have escaped on the way there.

This is not that crazy though, is it? Given what Dany saw in the HotU. Even though it's not something I subscribe to myself (IMO he's just a mid-series distraction), the imagery conjured up is very Others-like. IMO, at least. Well, the show confirmed that we already have a Night's King. He might take Stannis's sword after the battle, but no Stannis will not be the next Night's King. It fights against all his personal values and opinions. How does a man turn into the Night's king anyway? Now, after 5.09, Stannis's "personal values and opinions", lo, are wind. Grrrrrrrr! |

Why is it so far fetched? Because it's just a random theory people have made up and I don't think there is any evidence to back it up. And honestly, Meera being Jon's twin sister would also be pretty lame, imo. |

Why is it so far fetched? Because Jon's plot is central to the story and how things turn out in the end, which means if he had a twin sister her story would be central too, especially if it were a twist being held this long for a big reveal. This would all mean that it has to mirror his story in the books. In the books there are long descriptions of Meera and Jojen. They look like one another and very distinctive, like Crannogmen. I think they have moss-colored eyes and maybe moss-colored hair too? Too lazy to look it up. They are short and slight. The implication is that their people may be descendants of the Children of the Forest. Anyway, she doesn't look anything like a Stark or a Targaryan. If she's not his twin sister in the books, does it really seem likely that would happen on the show? |
