We know that Brienne and Pod are headed for Winterfell to protect Sansa. But how will they infiltrate the castle to spy out the situation? Brienne is too recognizable and is known to Roose, and to Sansa. So, it's gotta be Pod. My theory is that Pod will get into the castle by posing as a bard, probably for the wedding celebration. Daniel Portman's CV lists him as having 'a strong baritone singing voice.' So, I say, we will hear Singing Pod. Your vote?

He could be "the old friend" described in the summary for ep. 508, I guess. Also we know that Brienne couldn't sneak in herself because Roose knows what she looks like.

I think the only other options for old friend would be Sandor, Margaery, or Varys and the likelihood of them showing up in Winterfell is slim to none, so it could very well be Podrick.

It sounds plausible to me. I really like the idea, too.

Brienne could be the hooded (wo)man and Pod could be Abel. They would both have a part to play in Sansa's escape.

I think he'll be the bard, and yes, he's got a strong baritone voice. I remember him singing "The Rains of Castamere" in a video.
Will supply the link later. I'm on my mobile.

Thank you, my friend! =o) That's the one I was thinking about. I find it quite hilarious - because of Daniel's Scottish accent shining through.

I would actually really like this to happen, but who knows.
I speculated before that the old friend is pod because I don't think it's theon and the only other option I think is feasible is the Hound. So maybe it will happen.

So, do we expect BriPod to infiltrate Winterfell tonight, or will that be the next episode?

Oh ... my goodness. I think I just became a bigger Pod fan than I already was.... *swoon* Thanks for sharing that. I've not seen a lot of the Thronecast stuff so this was a real treat. He's so adorable and what a nice voice! Podrick will make an excellent bard! I just... HE CANNOT DIE!!

If someone has to die, it better be Pod or Brienne.. that team hasn't suffered casualties this season.

So, do we expect BriPod to infiltrate Winterfell tonight, or will that be the next episode? It's a bit early for that, no? I wouldn't expect that until maybe episode 7 or 8.

Yeah also...they can't infiltrate shit I assume Brienne's contribution this year is setting the fire to the tents where the army that can save Sansa is. Well done.

Some may hate me for this but if someone has to go in that superhero duo, I'll vote Brienne off the island before Pod!

I think she'll be waiting outside of WF while Pod sneaks in (because Roose would recognize her). I don't know when Stan's camp is set afire but I don't think she'll do it. My guess is that she begrudgingly gives Sansa and Theon over to him and sets her vengeance aside to keep her vow about Sansa's safety.

Yes, I wasn't being clear. I didn't mean the rescue or attempted rescue or whatever, I meant actually arriving at WF, formulating some strategy to get Pod inside, setting up some kind of signal, etc. If Pod does end up singing, whenever, I wonder what he'll sing? We haven't heard a rendition of 'the Dornishman's Wife' yet, I believe.

I voted maybe for this one. I have no idea if he will or not. But I would not object to that plot development.
