At this point, the prostitute character is probably involved to show that this movement against Dany is present throughout Meereen and not just concentrated to a particular small sect. There are a number of people from various walks of life who are angry enough with Dany's invasion to join this cause.
I highly doubt she's some kind of secret noble undercover.

The thing is we've never actually seen her be a prostitute. she's had history with an unsullied- someone she knew wouldn't want sex. then in the courtyard what looks like a dothraki/second son is killed before anything happens. The showrunners are making the focus of Mereen the Harpy renegades, so it makes sense for their to be another character involved other than hizdahr. I think she will be developed further of featured again throughout the season. Her facial expression suggest she is not just 'anybody' and i doubt they would purposefully show her twice if they weren't hinting at something. AHA!! imdb has labelled her as 'meerenese noblewoman'. the actress is Meena Rayann. www.imdb.com/name/nm5159884/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t39IMDB can be unreliable but i doubt it would be wrong for something like this. GREEN GRACE ALERT  If she is a noblewoman she must have a scene later on this season in Dany's court. Maybe she replaces Mossador on the council for a while. She probably convinces Dany to reopen the pits and marry Hizdahr as well. [/span] |

But if there's a candidate for someone that Dany would have "questioned sharply" a la the Wineseller in ADWD, it would make sense for it to be the Meereenese Prostitute. That is, if we ever see her again. |

But yeah, it would make sense for Dany to do that - she will probably be very pissed about Barry afterall Konrad, what is your opinion? Will we have a Harpy? If so, will she be Hizdahr? |

Konrad, what is your opinion? Will we have a Harpy? If so, will she be Hizdahr? I really dunno. Hizdahr would be the easiest route, I suppose. There really isn't a wealth of other Meereenese characters to chose from, so if I had to I'd bet it's him pulling the strings here. |

Are Shakaz mo Kandaq and Shavepate the same person? What? I am now reading a combination of AFfC and ADwD and didn't know that. I think that in the books the Harpy is the Green Grace. In the show, Hizdahr. Yes. Same guy. |

I too think the Green Grace was the harpy in the book, but that just makes Hiz her stooge, not completely innocent. I'm sure she had her reasons for pimping him to Dany. I think the Shavepate is a nasty guy but not a LF-level schemer, so the book twist is that Barry knows not to trust Skahaz too much, but locking up Hizdahr doesn't solve anything because his boss, the Green Grace, does have Barry's complete trust due to being an old lady.
I wouldn't mind Hiz being more of a mastermind on the show, his father being one of the 163 crucified gives him a great personal motive especially if it was as unjust as he claims, and it was awfully convenient that he kept Dany busy while the green whore instigated the next harpy ambush.
