I'm really looking forward to the Stone Men scene. How fill Jorah and Tyrion fight them off? By knocking them into the water, I guess. Have you read the Sorrows chapter in ADWD, jack?

They've merged the ruins of Valyria with the Sorrows, so I don't know if the Shrouded Lord will be invoked at all here. Also since there's only two people aboard the boat instead of several now, the fight will have to be simplified, meaning probably fewer Stone Men jumping aboard.
Still, it's a very promising, good-for-TV sequence and I'm glad they kept it even if they didn't include Griff and Young Griff in the show. Starting off with Drogon is a nice touch too.

Is Grey Worm dead?
Eugene Michael Simon (Lancel) gave a Live Twitter Q&A today and someone asked him...@eugene_Simon what's your favorite death scene over the past 4 seasons ? #AskGoT
He replied @ziadramdan I miss Ser Barristan and Grey Worm... (weeping), but having one's head melted by gold, the sound when he hit the floor, Viserys

It's pretty much a given that Grey Worm doesn't make it through the season based on the fact that he's not at Daznak's but I think he'll be around for a little bit at least. Might take a while for him to succumb to his injuries.

If he lives he'll have one last Missandei scene in which the "why would an Unsullied go to a brothel?" question is resolved. I imagine she'll cradle him (a la White Rat except without the throat-slitting bit ) and then give him the kiss we saw in both trailers, whether he lives or not.

I'm really sad to find out it's Barristan who died and not Grey Worm. No ill will towards Grey Worm intended but if I had to choose one of the two of them to survive, I would have rather it been Barristan for the counsel and fatherly love he has for Daenarys. It also seems a little pointless that they went through the trouble of having Grey Worm save Barristan at the last second from having his throat slit only to have him die anyways.

Yeah, that shot in the promo will be part of the opening scene of the episode.

Well, I'm sure Dany will say a few nice things about him at least.

I don't know if it's been pointed out yet but you can see Deepwood Motte on Stannis's map and there aren't any of the wooden sigils on it.

Yeah I did notice that, but there were wooden sigils at Last Hearth. Yeah, that was interesting as well. I'm interested to see if any of this will impact his ride to Winterfell or not.

BTW, do any of y'all think that Brienne and Pod might be aboard a ship? Brienne is standing still in the promo and while they could just be at some other inn, I think it's likely that instead of taking a break from their travels, that they're indoors AS PART of their travels and they're belowdecks or in a cabin. Her posture, leaning with one hand against a wall or railing, reminds me of LF and Sansa's during their scene belowdecks in a ship in ep. 404.
Getting in some sort of ship is certainly one way of going around Moat Caillin after all.

Diablotion and Nezzar were talking before about whether the Umbers would make an appearance, which is possible, but Rickon would also be there, and I don't think he is appearing this season.
White Harbor is near Moat Cailin, but I guess Brienne and Podrick could take the White Knife or are you suggesting that they take a ship the opposite way and go around until they reach the Wolfswood?

I don't know, too me it looks like she's looking out toward the open and since it's already snowing in Winterfell by the next episode then it could be snowing wherever they are and that could explain the lighting on Brienne. I think heading to the coast would be too out of the way. They'll probably just stick to following the mountain ridge around Moat Cailin like Brienne said.

I'm excited that this episode is written by Cogman, which means it should be better than the first four episodes. If I had to rank the episodes so far this season from Best to Worst. High Sparrow - 10 The House of Black and White - 9 Sons of the Harpy - 8 The Wars to Come - 8

High Sparrow - 10 The House of Black and White - 9 Sons of the Harpy - 8 The Wars to Come - 8 I don't particularly buy into the Cogman-is-a-better-writer-than-D-and-D narrative but I am looking forward to seeing Jeremy Podeswa's work in 505 and 506 given his credentials. What DOES interest me specifically about Cogman and Podeswa working together on these two episodes in a row is the level of collaboration that that might entail between them. I know that Cogman worked very closely with Alik Sakharov back in s2 on "What is Dead May Never Die" and that he generally has more time to help with how the eps. he's written are produced and directed given that he's not responsible for as many.
Given the things that we know will be happening in it though, I agree that "Kill the Boy" will likely be as good as ep. 503 if not stronger than it.

I imagine there is gonna be a good farewell scene at the Wall. Podeswa directed Dillane beautifully in Fugitive Pieces so I cannot imagine Stephen not having something great to do in his episode.
Also there are relatively few storylines in this ep - Wall, Sorrows, Meereen, Winerfell, so we may get few scenes in each
