Is there a way to customize the forum background colors? No, they are the same for everyone. I was trying to choose something toned down not to hurt anyone's eyes, but I'm open to suggestions.

They are visible for you too, judging by that screenshot. Look closely

I love the new color theme, and the tab icon. It looks a lot more dynamic and clean. I'd try removing the rounded box edges and see how you like it. It looks odd with rounded boxes inside rectangular boxes. Here's what it looks like editing the CSS in a browser. It's usually the border-radius or radius commands. I edited the quote box in Photoshop, so it looks a bit janky compared to the other edits (it would come out cleaner in the actual CSS). It would flow a bit better imo if the yellow didn't jump out so much. Just some suggestions: s6.postimg.org/pe1avbvkf/sug.jpg

I like the rounded buttons but I'll see what I can do about the boxes inside the posts Preserving the buttons does make sense - they are buttons after all and ya don't see too many square buttons. I'm glad you liked the rectangular boxes :-) The cool thing is, if you use firefox and greasemonkey, anyone can write self-scripts to change things that they want. I have a script for Westeros.org that removes the poor formatting for small screens where the sidebar takes up half of everything. Thankfully, this one doesn't have that problem. Also, I don't know if you'd ever get a full domain, but Hearttree.org is open for like $8 or something for a year. If you do, I'd recommend a shorter name/URL based on the mantra that less is better and its easier to type out or talk about. It reminds me of the scene in The Social Network where the Napster dude goes over to what's his face and is like "Drop the 'The.' Just, Facebook." ---- I actually come from a board before ever watching Game of Thrones that was an offshoot board of a much larger one. I am/was a fan of a regional baseball team and there was this massive board of people at the local newspaper where discussions happened rapidly, and a lot of opinions got drowned out by general, errmm wild noise. Anyway, there was a group of people wanted to discuss Sabremetrics of the team and all these crazy stats that most people didn't care about or few understood. This was back in 2006 or so. Eventually, about 20 people or so split off of there and formed a newer board that has thrived for years and has had something like 3,000 people register. So just saying, if you have a strong core this might be a legit thing for many years.

I'm happy with proboards hosting so far, I'm not looking to have this turn into some gigantic site and they are pretty reliable, I don't think we had any crashes yet (knocks on wood). I don't like changing urls, never did with my other site, as a creature of habit. If someone wants to be on the site or visit it they can type the current address

Hey, I just noticed a setting in my profile that might be of use to people who want different themes. There is no way for us to customise a theme ourselves, but if you go to profile > edit profile > settings there is a drop down list that allows you to select a theme/skin to use. Currently there are only 2: the default forum theme (beige and pink!) and the "basic" theme (which is white and blue). Hope this helps

I can create a theme you'd like and you can use it, there are only two ones because the basic is provided by proboards and the default is the one we are using right now
