Episode #45: “Kill the Boy” Dany (Emilia Clarke) makes a difficult decision in Meereen. Jon (Kit Harington) recruits the help of an unexpected ally. Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) searches for Sansa (Sophie Turner). Theon (Alfie Allen) remains under Ramsay’s (Iwan Rheon) control.

"Dany (Emilia Clarke) makes a difficult decision in Meereen." -Reopening the fighting pits? Deciding to marry Hizzy?
"Jon (Kit Harington) recruits the help of an unexpected ally." -Tormund, I guess
"Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) searches for Sansa (Sophie Turner)." -Self-explanatory, I guess
"Theon (Alfie Allen) remains under Ramsay’s (Iwan Rheon) control." -I'd guess that the wedding or our traumatic scene shows up here then...

OMG SUMMARIES YES I'm guessing Dany's decision is reopening the fighting pits? Or agreeing to marry Hizdar if he gives her 90 days of peace?

I think Theon may be spying on Sansa or something? Or helping capture Myranda for some torture porn? Whatever it's gonna be it's probably unpleasant

Tv Jon's not going to be sending anyone to infiltrate Winterfell, I don't think, but do we think he'll still get the letter informing him of Ramsay's marriage? That could play into Aemon's advice for him, since their first scene was about the conflict of family vs. duty.

That could play into Aemon's advice for him, since their first scene was about the conflict of family vs. duty. That's a good guess. I've been thinking that Roose or Ramsay will send a letter to Jon directly and that Sam and Aemon will send for Jon when they receive. After all Jon sends a letter to Roose in 504 actually asking for men for the Wall so it'd make sense if the Boltons sent a nasty letter back in response to it. They could tell him about the match with Sansa, which would make him all the more tempted by Stannis, Davos and Mel's offers which would finally get Aemon to tell him "kill the boy" and fully commit to the NW now that he's LC.

I'd thought previously that the Pink Letter wouldn't be in the show, just Melisandre returning from Stan's campaign with a(n either false or accurate, depending on which theories you believe,) message for the folks at CB. But if Ramsay's gonna send one letter in the show already, he really ought to send that lovely second follow-up one too.

So you think he'd just send a version of the Pink Letter only going on about Stannis, Reek and the runaway bride, without Mance and his spearwives? I was thinking they were setting up FTW to be just about Jon's affinity for "the free folk". It depends on what they do with his reaction to the news about Sansa, I guess, but leaving the Wall to fight Ramsay would seem like more of a 180 if he hadn't already let Mel try to help with freeing his sister.

I would've thought the same given what we knew before the season began to air but in every episode so far Jon is prompted to go against the Boltons and his dilemma of either keeping to his vows or to his heritage has been explored. I think it'll be made both about the Wildlings and his potentially straying loyalties. I think his mission of helping the Wildlings at Hardhome will be aimed at bringing them south under Tormund's leadership with the condition that they join Stannis upon returning to CB. This would fit with what Stannis suggested to Jon in 503 about Tormund potentially being more able to compromise "than Mance ever was" and would be a reason why they would want to side with Jon against the Boltons after the Pink Letter is sent out, despite Mance being dead in the show-canon and not a captive in WF as in the end of ADWD.

Sounds right, convincing Tormund to follow Stannis would be a good way to tie the Hardhome mission together with the Pink Letter.

I would find it a little surprising if Arya isn't in this episode because they usually don't have her character absent from back to back episodes. Her material in Braavos contains more storyline than her arc in Season 4, so wouldn't it make sense to show the progression of her training instead of pushing the majority of it to the second half of the season.
