As I was just re-watching episode 5.02, I paused it to get a better look at the coin that Jaqen had given Arya. I'm trying to figure out what the image is or means. There seems to be a distinct vertical division in the center image, looks more like a line on the coin which was not raised as were the parts on each side of it. I wondered if it represented the division between the doors on HBW, but that seems to be pulling at straws.
Has anyone else figured out the image?

I still don't see it. Groan. Are we looking at the right side of the 'face'? What's the darkish indentation that runs approximately SE to NW? It's one of those things where once I see it, I won't be able to understand how I missed it before . . . but, alas, not there yet.
WAIT - there's a better view near the end of Episode 3.10 where Arya picks the coin back up off the ground after she's stabbed the man at camp fire who bragged about sewing Grey Wolf's head to Robb's shoulders. Looks like the coin's seen a lot of wear since then.  |
