I finished Me Before You...I did not find it as great or emotional as many others said they did. Quite a bit of the characters, except for the one Emilia plays in the movie, really are not that likable. Including the sister, who should just fall into a sinkhole. I was going to check out After You but then realized, I didn't like the characters enough to want to follow up with them.
I just started Outlander Book 6 (?) A Breath of Snow and Ashes...probably about 70 pages in and it's already starting much better than book 5, which I thought could have had 500 pages cut out of it. So I hope I can come back on here and I say how much I liked it when I finish it.

American Gods. According to my phone I read 20% - it's really fascinating and I love how much of mythology and folklore Neil used in it. Very excited to read what happens next and who Wednesday is. Huge potential for the adaptation - all those additional chapters could really work well as stand alone stories Excellent book, one of Gaiman's best (Ocean at the end of the lane just tops it for me). I love the "Coming to America" chapters (are those the stand alone stories you mean?)

Finally finished the First Law trilogy. Loved it. Took me a while to get through it, but not because I wasn't in to it, just because I was reading/watching so much other stuff. I'd put it up there with ASoIaF tbh. Really like Joe Abercrombie's characters and style.
Started Best Served Cold (which is set in the First Law world) and I'm already loving it. One of my only complaints with First Law was lack of good female characters, but the protagonist of Best Served Cold (Monza Murcatto) is already making up for that. She's pretty awesome.

First Law is brilliant, as is his YA (well...it's sometimes marketed as that but not really IMO) trilogy Half a King. I still need to get around to buying and reading the standlalones. He has a short story collection, Sharp Ends, which is due for release soon too

I'm going to have to look at this series, don't know much about it but I'm always game for a good book. I'm about to start Forbidden Wish which is a retailing of Aladdin. I've been enjoying retelling of old fairy tales.

When The Devil Holds the Candle by Karin Fossum. Inspector Sejer #4, English translation. Liking it so far, though it's been a while since I read the previous book

Tell us what you think when you are done. I really was "meh" on the book. Don't think I'll see the movie. I am still working on Outlander book 6. Diana G has got to stop with the rape storylines in this series--if the show makes it this far, I hope they just cut some of them.

It had some parts that get interesting every now and again, but it's not something I'd normally read. I'm only doing this because my friend wants to see the movie because "Daenerys and Finnick are in it."

I've never read Nicholas Sparks, but from watching a few of his films, this hasn't quite reached that ridiculous territory yet. It's just kind of slow, there's been a few chapters that I've absolutely loved reading, and even a few parts that made me go "aww" but it's a slow AF read when it shouldn't be.

Um I don't think I'll read it then, at least not in the near future. :/ Girl on the train is excellent, I'm actually trying to slow down my reading to appreciate it more.

About 20 pages of a 367 book were what I would deem to be "good."
