I watch the show alone, but I know many people watch with family or friend. What did they think of House of Black and White?

I watched it with my best friend and she was quite excited. Moments like Jaqen's return, Stannis's offer and the Lord Commander vote were her favorite moments. Her opinion of Stannis is slowly changing, seems like my Stannis propaganda is working. She called the episode "a bit slow paced", but still liked it.

Just talked with my M-I-L, who didn't get to see it until last night. She was very excited and is really curious to see what comes of Jon being LC, as well as what will happen to Arya.
I'll actually get to watch it with her this weekend, so I'm excited about that ^^

unsullied liked the brienne + LF + sansa encounter and the chase afterwards.
They loved everything Arya
They hated Ellaria almost immediately in a "who does this b**** think she is?". However they could immediately see that Doran was a wise ruler. So thats good i guess. (like they literally said doran should have her killed)
They loved Snow becoming Lord Snow.

My father thought it was slow and boring. I agreed with the slow, after all it was mostly talking except the Brienne & guards chase, but I asked him about why it was boring. Answer: "No Boltons."
He really likes them. Last year, when Mannis charged at the wildlings dad asked me if it was Bolton, because he remembered Roose talking about the Wall and the wildlings in 4x02. I think I've seen some other Unsullied reactions about 4x10 in which people thought it was Boltons who came to the rescue (Torchwood Boy comes to mind). Also, when it (The Children) ended, he asked my why they included the pointless scene with Cersei and Tywin while that time could've been used for Boltons.
I just called him, so I don't know which parts he liked, but tomorrow we'll go to watch the new Avengers and I'll ask him about it.
He should like next episode.

How nice that the father and son are such fierce Bolton supporters My father has also called GoT boring and extremely slowpaced at times and then he really likes some stuff. My parents reactions to shocking events like the red wedding and Oberyn's death are weird, they just watch it very calmly and won't really react. Disappointing. My friends can be really entertaining when it comes to GoT reactions. Screaming, shouting and shocked expressions.

Should really try to get them hooked to it this summer. My father also watches horrific events calmly. I never saw his reaction to any major death, except Tywin's to which he said: "Why is Varys disgusted? He has Gandalf in a box."

Blabbing and constantly hyping the show eventually paid off. I even got one of my friends to read the books!

He doesn't like forums and his English is even worse than mine.

Apparently some of you enjoy my dad's musings, so here are more (he was on a business trip so these are a bit late):
-Agrees that the season is starting slow, but might be because he's used to watching 3-4 episodes at once
-Wasn't expecting Jon to be elected but was expecting the offer from Stannis and thought Jon would take it
-Keeps expecting Jon to somehow end up getting away from the Wall
-Thought Jon would end up leading the wildlings for Stannis and loves how the wildlings are like the Scottish clans (we have some Scot's blood in us!)
-Expects that eventually Jon will gain control of the wildlings somehow and take the North Thinks Stannis will march south and try to get to Winterfell but not make it, or even be killed by the wildlings
-Says Stannis is a strong and good character but not a good planner
-His crazy theory is that Jon and Stannis would go south together and take back Winterfell but the wildlings would betray him during the battle and kill Stannis, then Tormund would get them to bend the knee to Jon as the new King in the North
-Wonders if Sansa and Littlefinger will end up crossing the Narrow Sea too, but then remembered the marriage proposal line and thought it would be interesting if Stannis and Littlefinger planned to legitimize Jon and marry Sansa to him but then realized that was silly and semi-incestual
-Thinks ultimately Tommen and Myrcella will bite it and every army left will converge on King's Landing by next season
-Then remembered that winter is coming and everyone will die
-Is suspicious of Jaqen and wonders if it is because he reminds him of the French
-Clarifies that he is not racist and means their position in European war history
-Says Dany has to watch her back and should have done the execution in private and needs to learn to respect the heritage of the people she wants to rule
-"Politics and justice don't always go hand in hand. Anyone in power can be hated."

I already loved his thoughts about the first episode (especially the comparisons of you and your sisters to the dragons ), and here's also some very good speculation and thoughts!
