yeah, this is definitely one hundred percent happening It's funny, the subreddit had all these confirmed posts tonight and I kinda felt like 'no shit, non-believers.' .The second Sandor returned in 6x07 CLEGANEBOWL was beyond confirmed in show cannon as far as I'm concerned. There was always a little concern in the back of mind that they'd tease the hype then kill Sandor to subvert expectations, but I think the writers know how to give viewers what they want without feeling fan service, for the most part. This is a story arc that has been well foreshadowed in both the books and the show, and there's no reason to bring back Sandor unless he gets to finish his arc. I've always believed that he has to overcome his fear of fire to defeat the Undead Mountain. In the Battle of King's Landing he was paralyzed by fear by the wildfire. He fled the city and abandoned his post because he couldn't handle it. In Beyond the Wall he had the same reaction when the bear was charging him while in fire. Because of Sandor's failure to act, Thoros of Myr lost his life. They reinforced this once again last night with his fear of fire overwhelming him, and Beric pleading with him to snap back into reality. With all of the issues I've had with the writing over the past few years, they've been very consistent with the Hound's arc and I am grateful for that as my he is my favorite character. I will be in the edge of my seat waiting to see if Sandor can utilize the thing he fears the most to destroy his evil brother. I always knew that CLEGANEBOWL was confirmed, but there's something hilarious about the fact that it will occur after the overall climax of the story has been resolved.

Sandor has never been my absolute favourite character in the series, but I've always liked him, and he keeps growing on me as the show goes on. I love that he actually has a genuinely caring side behind the crude exterior. It's absolutely heartwarming how he cares and wants to protect Arya.

Sandor has never been my absolute favourite character in the series, but I've always liked him, and he keeps growing on me as the show goes on. I love that he actually has a really caring side behind the crude exterior, it's genuinely heartwarming how he cares and wants to protect Arya. I relate a bit to Sandor, who I think is a sensitive man who was negatively shaped by the harsh demands of society and the lack of caring support by his own family. America has a problem with its men. We're not raised in healthy ways, we're taught to suppress emotions and be tough above all else. There's no way to sustain a healthy balance when you suppress everything but machismo. If you were to examine me at work managing people in a high stress environment versus me playing with a cat, it'd be like watching two different people. But the latter is the real me. Once you're an adult it's very difficult to learn how to process emotions you've suppressed for your entire life. That's what I believe the major element of Sandor's characterization is. He is a sofite deep inside, but society shaped him into a monster because it's very rewarding to have a monster on your payroll. He's the ultimate cynic, because life has been so cruel to him, but his actions are always an effort to help those who can't defend themselves. He'll never be able to come out and express himself in genuine ways, he's spent a lifetime building a metaphysical armor around his emotions, but his actions will always be those of a true knight.

Lord bless this man. Who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep the hype alive. Beric Dondarrion gave his life to protect CLEGANEBOWL. He is a Saint of Hype.
