Now the season is sadly over, it's time for two years of discussion before season 8 is out!

Seven episodes was a big mistake when there's just as much material as previous seasons - if not more. Agree And 6 for the final season is not enough either. Littlefinger deserved a big ass death, not what he got. I think more time would have made his death more satisfying. But here are some issues that I think season 8 needs to resolve: How do Jon and Dany feel when they find out they are aunt and nephew? And that he (supposedly, I don't understand how his claim is better when Rhaegar was never crowned king) has a better claim to the throne then her?Ideally, she should not be thrilled with this news. Everything she's worked for is now for nothing, to possibly put someone else on the throne. Sansa did not seem pleased about being told Jon bent the knee. The North has been vying for independence since Ned's death. They dissed Robb for marrying a foreign Queen. Are they just going to go along with this now?
I feel like they shouldn't...but with 6 episodes in the final season, there is not going to be time for the North to be all upset about this. I'm afraid for Yara
Does Cersei carry that baby to term? Does Dany finally get pregnant (I think she does) ?I'm afraid for Tormund, Gendry and Beric (and Edd)What does the Night's King want? WHY ARE THEY GOING SOUTH?It seems the only person who could find this out is Bran, but his powers are going to have to develop? Do they automatically accept Jaime in their army? Will we get Bran and Jaime resolution?

Seven episodes was a big mistake when there's just as much material as previous seasons - if not more. Agree And 6 for the final season is not enough either. Littlefinger deserved a big ass death, not what he got. I think more time would have made his death more satisfying. But here are some issues that I think season 8 needs to resolve: Regarding Jon and Dany (Jany? Don?)
This could be the show's version of fAegon, since Jon is aptly named Aegon. Though I don't think Jon will want to take the Throne for himself and I feel it would be complete fanservice if he does, or attempts to. I think they may perhaps marry, though not too sure on that, and they would have the best claim together - Jon's birthright with Dany's army and Dragons to back it up; though I can't see Dany being too happy in this scenario playing second fiddle. The other possibility is a division between them, but I don't think there is enough time within the 6 episodes for Jon to find out his parentage and then have this dispute with Dany (and if they do do it, it'll likely be very rushed and badly done). I think he'll either surrender his claim, marry Dany and they'll attempt to claim it together or he will publicly support Dany like Theon for Yara at the Kingsmoot. I think his claim is better by virtue of being male through the line of succession, Dany was next in line when Viserys died and now she's bumped back that a new male heir, Jon, has been discover. Though Dany's claim is still rock solid until R+L=J is made pubic, and even then there will be the trouble of proving it. Though maybe Howland Reed will come forward since Meera went home. Sansa and the NorthIf Jon does marry Dany, or surrender his claim for her, I could see one of the conditions being that the North has independence. The only thing is, this would be a slippery slope with, likely, Dorne then seeking independence and others will follow; though if Ellaria somehow sees it through until if and when Cersei dies and the Targaryens take the Throne, perhaps she would campaign for Dorne to remain under Dany's rule. I'm not sure if the North would rebel against Jon if he was on the Throne. Perhaps there will be some sort of devolution of powers with each Kingdom having it's own ruler for certain areas but ultimately being loyal to the Crown. YaraI'm not exactly sure what is left to do with her character. I think, because they've kept her alive when they could have easily killed her by now, that she will fight to the death with Euron. Perhaps Theon will be there too and give his life so Yara can defeat him and live. Pregnancies I don't think Cersei will carry it to term, as Maggy's prophecy mentioned she'd have 3 children (which I am taking to mean being born). I think Dany will get pregnant, there has been so much focus upon her being unable to have children recently. I wonder if Viserion dying will have something to do with it? Only death can pay for life. I wonder if this will be TPTWP? Eastwatch-by-the-Sea Crew I don't hold much hope for these lot considering the enemy sauntering towards them. We have no idea what state Gendry is in, so perhaps he could run for his life. Tormund and Beric being up the wall - perhaps they could run like fuck to the Shadow Tower or something? Night's King Maybe he is trying to get back to the place where the CotF created him? I'm not sure what purpose that would serve though. That or they just want to kill all of the humans. After all, the CotF made them to defend themselves from men so it's perhaps just a hivemind thing and they have no thoughts of their own. Jaime I think Brienne will vouch for him. Maybe he will join her in the oath to protect the Starks, pledging himself to Bran after the wrong he did him.

Littlefinger deserved a big ass death, not what he got. I think more time would have made his death more satisfying. Yeah, if Lysa's death ends an episode, Littlefinger's absolutely should. That's my biggest (and maybe only) problem with the finale. I think these are the questions that'll be asked of Jon next season. How do claims work? After Aerys' death - which was before Dany was even born - Viserys was the rightful heir. I think that, in a normal situation, if the deceased crown prince's wife was with child, someone would rule as regent until the child was born, who would then rule (maybe not if they were a girl, but definitely a boy). It might depend on which came first: Stannis' capture of Dragonstone or the battle at the Tower of Joy. That determines who's older out of Jon and Dany. D&D have suggested that it might drive them apart, or at least cause some friction, in the Inside the Episode. I think the Sansa thing was an act to fool Baelish. She might be a bit annoyed, but I don't think it'll tear them apart. As for the North, Glover and Lyanna will probably moan for a few minutes then just accept it. There's more pressing matters at hand! I think Zadeth is right; Theon will die saving Yara. It's gonna be heartbreaking
I've seen theories that Cersei gives birth, is killed (probably by Jaime), and the baby is raised by Tyrion. That'd be nice. They've brought up Dany's supposed inability to have children to have children too much. She's gonna have a baby for sure. More importantly: WHERE IS GENDRY? Is the at the Wall or headed to Winterfell? We'll find out in 2 years! I think it's just a hivemind thing. "Kill all men" as per their original programming from the Children. Not particularly interesting but oh well. Bran will obviously forgive him since he sees everything. I think the most skeptical person would be Dany, seeing as how he killed her father, but with Brienne and Bran there there to vouch for him, I doubt it'll be a big problem. Biggest question: WILL GHOST APPEAR?

Prediction roundup! Didn't really predict many deaths, but some Night's Watchmen certainly died, so this one's the most accurate! Someone give Basil a prize!
*Sad trombone*
Well at least we three said Littlefinger. One for each of us!
In summary, we, as a board, SUCK at predictions (Under spoilers because big post)

Father of Dragons: Great questions...where are Gendry and Ghost? How far South will the Night's King and friends be by the season premiere? I also agree that there is not going to be time for the North to pissed off about Jon bending the knee. They might grumble but with the wall down, they have more pressing concerns.

The things I care about the most are Jon getting to Winterfell to see Bran and Arya and for Arya to see Gendry. That NEEDS to happen before all this shit hits the fan.
I think Jon will be very disturbed when Bran tells him about his parents. I don't think Dany will care about the incest, but Jon will. I also think he'll likely marry her because she will become pregnant and he never wanted to raise a bastard (which is completely shitty but that's how I see this going) I think Dany dies in the great war, and Jon will rule as king with their child, probably a daughter that reminds him of Dany or some weepy shit like that.
Cersei I don't think carries to term. I don't know how her story goes after that. If Jaime somehow has to kill her, if she blows up King's Landing. CLEGANEBOWL needs to happen so they all have to cross pathes again.
Jaime and Brienne may finally get to admit their feelings for each other, but it will be short lived because I think Jaime will die.
Bran I think will warg into Viserion and throw the Night King off of his back.
Viserion will kill Rhaegal.
Gendry will melt down LF's dagger and cover Needle with the Valerian steal.
Sansa will remain at Winterfell throughout the great war and won't have much to do with the fighting.
Bran and Meera will see each other again (probably not but I want them to)

Oh, we'll probably get some cringy scene of Ghost "accepting" Dany like Drogon accepted Jon.

Ok I'm terrified that things will end badly, as a series I mean. This season was so so so rushed, and the next one might be even more. Cersei cannot have this baby otherwise Maggy'a prophecy will have been for nothing. Dany on the other hand will probably get pregnant because Targaryen magic or something. It will be beautiful.
But this episode set up 100% that Tyrion will betray dany IMO. I'm pretty sure at this point that he will kill her. I just hope he doesn't do it in a gruesome way like stabbing her pregnant belly or something. Her baby has to live (maybe this will be the stalion that mounts the world?)

The prophecy was already fucked up since Robert and Cersei had a child together.

The prophecy was already fucked up since Robert and Cersei had a child together. that was one Robert's 20. That's my explanation anyway. Cersei hated Bob so much, it's not a stretch of the imagination to think she wouldn't love the baby ("that's no son of mine.") So that is considered Bob's kid. Whereas the children Cersei had by choice are considered Cersei's children. Am I making sense? Lol

I alsways thought that perhaps Cersei was lying about the baby she had with Robert to manipulate Cat and to feign sympathy.

In any case, I think these are two completely different scenarios. If Cersei has another child with Jaime at this point, it will serously hurt the Maggy's thing and the series continuity as a whole IMO.

I doubt Cersei never cared for the baby. The rest of her emotions and words in her scene with Robert were genuine, why would that be different? "I felt something for you once, you know." "I know." "Even after we lost our first boy. For quite a while actually."I think TheMadQueen gave probably the best rationalisation; that the baby counts as one of Robert's. (Although it's really obvious the showrunners just forgot since that reasoning is pretty flimsy) As an aside I watched that scene with the two of them to get the quote and I'm reminded how fucking perfect Mark Addy was and how much I miss Robert. His words about Lyanna are even more tragic now "I only know she was the one thing I ever wanted. Someone took her away from me, and seven kingdoms couldn't fill the hole she left behind."

Cersei's child by Robert was considered "his", Cersei's children by Jaime are considered "hers." I also want a flashback of Robert and Cersei's wedding so me and FoD can be shook together.

Cersei and Dany will both have baby bumps next season. There was a lot of talk of succession and conception in the last few episodes.
