Okay so this episode is probably going to feature some pretty dramatic action and set pieces with the Beyond-the-Wall Dream Team going out to kick some ass. Being the penultimate episode of the season, we can expect things to get pretty crazy, and I don't think all of the characters will make it back South of the Wall. So vote for which characters you think will bite it, and tell us why! You can vote for more than one.

Jon is the only one who's basically guaranteed to survive. The rest could easily be killed. Davos is still at Eastwatch so I don't see him dying. He'll probably be the one to greet the survivors. I'd say the biggest contender for death is Jorah, and this makes me so sad. I'm not ready for this, even though I realistically should be at this point. I want him to live, but his farewell with Dany has sealed his fate in my eyes I want Tormund to reunite with Brienne so I'm praying for his survival. Although I would like to think they have a bigger role for Gendry down the line, they've been known to bring long-gone characters back in one episode and kill them off in their next (Rickon and Osha) so I dunno. Beric'll probably die, but could they take his body to a safe spot so Thoros could bring him back? Regardless, either Beric or Thoros is gonna die for good, and I'm gonna bet on Beric. Here's a thought I've been having: what if one of the Dream Team is killed in the battle, then immediately resurrected, and that's the wight they bring to King's Landing for proof? ZOMBIE MOUNTAIN VS ZOMBIE HOUND: ZOMBIEBOWL CONFIRMED

I think Beric is gonna die TBH. He just seems like the one whose important enough to be included but not important enough to survive. I think he'll have a heroic moment and die.

I also think that everyone is expendable at this point, except Jon. Beric is already gone in the books, so I think he and Thoros have served their purpose, I don't see much reason to keep them around after this. And as much as I'd love to see Gendry on the Iron Throne, it's also very possible they brought him back just to kill him off immediately, that would be very Game of Thrones. I really don't want Davos or Jorah to die. That would suck so bad.

Jorah + Dany = *hug hug* *smooch smooch* "I'm so happy, Khaleesi." Yeah, I feel like Jorah has the biggest target on his back next week. GoT only has scenes like that right before a tragedy. I also agree that Beric seems likely since he was written out of the books long ago. It's very rare for a show character to outlive its book counterpart, and I could also see Thoros dying with his friend. Gendry might die just because fans aren't expecting it so soon after his return. I could definitely see the producers trolling us with that one, I mean there have been plenty other WTF moments this season. Can't believe you saved this.

I think Thoros will die, in order to put the rest of the group in more pressing danger (he is the group healer with in-combat res, short cooldown). It also opens the possibility that Beric will (like in the books...*sobs, Cat, sobs*) pass on his in-life to another, perhaps Thoros himself, or more likely a more important character. All of the Wildling extras they take along (think I saw some in the background in a couple of shots). Jorah is the other one I think is in real danger because he is hitting all of the dangling character threads which is often a sign a character's story is coming to an end. I mean, he got cured, Dany forgave him and they had a final, warm embrace, he gave a longing look of farewell which she did not return to him, but to Jon. He is heading North and enduring the hardships his father did...I worry he will sacrifice himself so Jon can escape, knowing how much Dany needs his support and has grown to care for him.

or PLOT TWIST, Jorah puts an arrow in Jon's knee, leaves him for the White Walkers, and reclaims Longclaw for the Mormont family. "Sup, Khaleesi."

I would love to see Gendry on the Iron Throne. Out of Jon, Dany and Cersei, he's the one most in touch in the small folk having lived with the poorest of the poor in Flea Bottom (not going to happen, but I'd be ok with it if it did) or PLOT TWIST, Jorah puts an arrow in Jon's knee, leaves him for the White Walkers, and reclaims Longclaw for the Mormont family. "Sup, Khaleesi." If I was writing the show, this would happen. And I'd be like, LOL. Guess who's the Night King's apprentice is. EVIL!JON!!!

And I'd be like, LOL. Guess who's the Night King's apprentice is. EVIL!JON!!! I always liked the theories that Dany would go Mad Queen or Jon would join the White Walkers because of the level of conflict that would create for the audience. I'd rather see Jon vs. Dany than Jon <3 Dany, especially since the White Walkers have been portrayed as silent zombies. Seeing the two favorite characters riding dragons and turning the villains into ice cubes isn't that compelling. I was drawn to ASOIAF because it wasn't just a bunch of tired archetypes mowing down orcs. I can't see George going with something that tame, either, so I have been expecting one more Red Wedding level twist before the series ends. Next episode would be a great opportunity for that, season 6 was mostly the good guys winning, and the show really needs another game changer to keep things interesting. But who knows, with the way this season has been going I'm starting to feel like they're drastically diverting from George's planned outline, but that's just my speculation.

I 100% agree with all of this. I feel like Jon and Dany are two of the biggest tropes that GRRM would try (I hope) to avoid. And Jon Vs. Dany would be more interesting then Jon *hearts* Dany.

Yeah I thought Jorah was a goner for sure. Never thought that only Thoros would die out of the 7.
