It's my intention to stay up and watch this live, unlike last week when I fell asleep.

I loved that they brought back Hot Pie's opinion of armor. "Figured she was a knight, she was wearing armor."

That naval battle was amazing.
I'm glad most of the Sand Snakes are gone, but I have to admit them tag-teaming Euron was pretty cool.

I can't decide what was worse - the Sand Snakes bantering below deck or the 'sex' scene.

I know the wolves are not the easiest because of the CGI, but I want to punch in the gut to whoever thought Nymeria would EVER reject Arya.
I'm sooooo fucking disappointed

Both of Arya's scenes were absolutely beautiful.
The way her face lit up when Hot Pie told her about Jon Snow, and her hands started shaking ... it was subtle, but that was some damn good acting on Maisie's part. You could feel the longing in her eyes. And when she decided to let go of her desire for revenge and to just go home to her family instead, with the Winterfell theme playing in the background, that gave me such massive chills.
I was holding my breath during her encounter with Nymeria. I guess it is a little bit disappointing that Nymeria didn't go with her, but there is beauty and meaning in that too. Nymeria decided to go home to her family, as did Arya. This encounter gave Arya as well as the audience certainty and closure.
And now she's finally heading home. Jon left Winterfell, so I guess they probably won't reunite anytime soon, but Sansa will be there and I'm curious to see the dynamics of that reunion. After everything that's happened to both of them since they last saw each other, I hope they will be able to overcome their childhood differences and come together as a family. That would be nice.
I'm so glad they're giving Arya all these amazing character moments. The emotions of those scenes remind me of emotions that I felt during certain moments between Ned and Arya, Cat and Robb, Bran and Rickon ... the reason why I fell in love with this show to begin with.

I know the wolves are not the easiest because of the CGI, but I want to punch in the gut to whoever thought Nymeria would EVER reject Arya. I'm sooooo fucking disappointed Pretty sure it's symbolic. Arya is completely different from the little girl at the start of the series, and this isn't really Arya any more, just "a girl". TBH I imagine it won't be too different in the books. All of the wolves seem destined to be seperated from their owners one way or another.

Now that we met Nymeria on the show, I couldn't help but think about how awesome it would have been to have that scene from the books, where Arya witnesses Nymeria pulling Catelyn's body from the river in one of her wolf dreams. And this amazing quote: "Rise, she thought. Rise and eat and run with us." Shattered dreams.

Maybe, but after years waiting to see some kind of reunion between Arya and Nymeria, what the show did was dissapointing as hell. Is a very moving scene, yes, but we won't get more and that sucks. In general it feels like the show just considers the wolves a bother and is always looking for ways to keep them out of the screen.
