Ahh, that’ll be it then ... Politics. I generally don't get involved in behind the scenes drama on forums, hence am usually last to know. Well, based on what I’ve read happens between Jaime and Olenna on Joffrey’s account in S7, I still see the Lannisters as having a pretty long reach and ‘cosa nostra’ memories, even now. At least, this season before it all goes to hell, I guess treason is still treason and the family name has to stand resolute with traitors, irrespective of how many years have passed or that Joffrey was a shit.

So we got the first report giving the whole content of episode 1 and confirming all of the leaks. No proof it's legit, but very strong hints - personally I'm 99% sure it is. So please only follow those links if you want to get 100% spoilers one week before the date! Episode 1: https://www.reddit.com/r/freefolk/comments/6m9i05/seen_the_first_episode_of_new_season/djzy3zn/
And another report on episode 2 from the same thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/freefolk/comments/6m9i05/seen_the_first_episode_of_new_season/dk010ja/

Yeah, saw them already dude - but thanks. Don't know why Kit is saying they filmed 15 hours of fake scenes on Kimmel when the leaks are now, like 100% confirmed. Michelle Clapton didn't exactly help the cause yesterday tbh, talking about Kit having costume changes for his visits to Dany and Cersei respectively. But c'est la vie. I'd still love to be surprised and find out that they'd punk'd us (Viscerion scene excepted!)

It is interesting that Alan Taylor , who has been away since S2, gets what be the most exotic action sequence of the series, before we get to S8. Was hoping we would see Sapochnik for that. May be Sapochnik is being saved for the bigger stuff in S8?

Only one thing came to my mind, not exactly a theory, more a thought that came because of Sansa's line "we are so focused on our enemy to the North that we forgot about the enemy in the South"
In the books, I always saw the WW as the biggest, uber, unquestionably final antagonists. But I came to think, do you guys think there is any chance that Cersei might outlive the Night's King and be the biggest bad in season 8?

Ok so I am weak and read a supposed plot summary of the season, some pretty big things so read at your own peril. No idea if any of these are authentic, as I've not been spoiled for anything this season, but worth a look for speculation at least.

Granted a lot of these things have already happened so may be put in there to attempt to give credibility. I was expecting one of the Dragons to die and become a White Walker, but I'm not convinced by this leak's supposed version of events. Why would Viserion be with Jon, Sandor, Beric and Thoros? It makes no sense, and I can't see Dany 'lending' Viserion to Jon.

I won't detail if you are right or wrong but everything there is absolutely right

By the way these leaks are one million percent right aren't they? Now I am kind of mad that they are really not giving Dany any victories this season. I guess D&D really are all pro Lannisters, because quite frankly, Dany fans deserved at least one good momment for the Dragon queen. Next episode will kind of be that, but WHAT I GOT FROM THE LEAKS is that, even though she will intercept the Lannisters, they will still bring the gold to KL because Cersei will hire the Golden Company using the gold from the Tyrells.
So, in the end, Team Lannister will have wipped out two major houses, plus sack the richest house in the realm, plus hire the most powerful army in the world, plus receive a massive fleet out of nowhere, plus leave their enemies to the WW to be weakened.
Team Targaryen will lose a dragon, lose two big allies, lose their entire fleet, and be on their way to fight the undead, only to face the Lannister after that.
I still cannot believe that Cersei will be the bigger bad in the end. I expected Varys, Littlefinger, Euron... but everything is pointing to Cersei being the final villain standing (I won't be surprised if she outlives the Night's King). I hate this so much because as much as I love Cersei, I love her for being the mess she is in the books. She sees herself as "Tywin with boobies" but she clearly isn't. Show Cersei on the other hand is absolutely smarter than Tyrion, Daenerys, Varys, Olenna... all these smart characters who got severely outplayed by her already. I think this is out of character. Tywin Lannister had a hard time beating the Starks and Tullys, while Cersei is very easily kicking Targaryen, Tyrell and Martell's ass. Oh, and she also kicked the Tully's ass one final time.
At this point, the Lannisters have Castamere'd the Tullys, Tyrells, Martells, Baratheons, and have kicked the Starks and Targaryen's asses throughout the show. Only the Arryns and Greyjoys have not lost to the Lannisters so far. I mean, come on. This is getting old. If I ever rewatch GoT, all attempts to beat the Lannisters in the early seasons will sound so stupid. They clearly have an invincible army with an infinitite number of soldiers. THERE I RANTED IT. Sorry if you guys don't like this kind of talk. I don't wanna go back to westeros.org just to rant and rave.

I think the leak caught a lot of people off guard and it's very understandable why people would be angry over it. But at the same time thinking about it, it's sort of make sense why Cersei would survive this season. Dany would have a chance to battle against Cersei's army and bring her down and take the throne herself, but her meeting with Jon halt this plan. Jon and Davos are trying to convince her that the throne doesn't matter since the WW are coming to bring winter over Westeros. With the death of Viserion, Dany would finally believe in Jon and Davos' sentiment and push her thoughts about the throne behind and ally with them to fight the WW. Cause of this, Cersei is free from Jon and Dany for the time being as the WW will distract them. So ironically, Cersei survivce due to the WW if you think about it. And while Cersei may look invincible this season, i doubt it won't last long for the next season. The only reason she manage to survive is due to Euron, but Euron may going to betray Cersei since the leak mentioned Euron is bringing the Golden Company. Jaime will abandoned Cersei and she only has Qyburn and the Mountain. Also, some people speculate Jon and Dany is going to send Tyrion and Sansa to deal with KL's problem as the latter characters had their plot unresolved with Cersei. I feel like it will be too predictable if Cersei dies this season and the final season will solely focus on the WW. I mean, it's call "Game of Thrones" and the Iron Throne is one of the pivotal element in the plot where many characters died because of it. I think it's important for both the WW and the Iron Throne's plot to reach a final conclusion simultaneously in the final season.

I will just hate if after everything is resolved with the Night King, they will still have to face Cersei, Euron and the Golden Company and be killed by them. And yes Euron MUST betray her ffs! This guy is a leader not a grunt. He and Cersei should be separate antagonists IMO (like the NK does not ally with any of them)
