This is from the terrible phantom sequel. The lyrics are awful, but the song is nice and Sierra is absolutely breathtaking!

Beautiful! You know what's super sad? The lyricist of Beauty and the Beast, Howard Ashman, died of Aids before he could see the finished movie. He was also the guy who wrote the libretto to The Little Mermaid. Here's a video of him and Jodi Benson recording Part of Your World. Beauty and the Beast was dedicated to him, it reads: " To our friend Howard, who gave a mermaid her voice and a beast his soul, we will be forever grateful."

I couldn't find it anywhere on YouTube, so I uploaded it on vimeo. This is from the 25th anniversary performance with Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo.
Fun fact: as you can see, the two people on the bridge are not Ramin and Sierra, those are doubles. That's how it's done in the original stage version as well, the real actors are off-stage somewhere and getting ready for the scene with the boat. This entire song is never sung live, they pre-record it before each performance and the actors and doubles lip-sync to it.
It would be too impractical for the actors to sing the majority of the song off-stage while they are preparing for the elaborate boat scene. Also, and I think that's probably the main reason, the vocalizing at the end is hardcore, that last E6 is the highest note in the entire show. It's not easy to hit even for a trained soprano, so this is pretty much to make sure that she hits it every time.
Fortunately, this is the only song where this is the case, the rest of them are all performed live.

By the way, I love how during the Final Lair, after the Phantom has completely gone batshit ... Christine addresses him as angel of music to calm him down. God, it breaks my heart every time.

No high school production I've ever seen has been that good, wow!
Did anyone hear that Jon Favereau is making a movie version of the Lion King broadway show? Or have I been hallucinating?

1:30 *dead* They're all great phantoms, but Ramin is the best. The way he says "Sing my angel of music!"
